Mother Dairy hikes full cream milk price by Re 1 per litre, token milk by Rs 2 per litre in New Delhi
The Mother Dairy spokesperson said this year, the entire dairy industry is witnessing a huge gap in the demand and supply of milk.

Leading milk supplier Mother Dairy has increased the price of full-cream milk by Re 1 per litre and token milk by Rs 2 per litre in Delhi-NCR because of the rising input costs. The new price will be in effect from Monday, November 21.
The price of full cream milk has increased from Rs 63 per litre to Rs 64 per litre whereas the price of token milk (bulk vended milk) has increased from Rs 48 per litre to Rs 50 per litre. This is the fourth hike in milk prices by Mother Dairy this year.
The company has not revised the price of 500 ml of milk. The Mother Dairy spokesperson said this year, the entire dairy industry is witnessing a huge gap in the demand and supply of milk.
A company spokesperson said that even after the festive season, raw milk prices have increased further due to a mismatch in the demand-supply equation. At a time when food inflation is already at a high level, the increase in milk costs will affect household budgets.
Mother Dairy has stated that the increase in prices is due to an increase in the cost of obtaining raw milk from dairy farmers.
The company added that by revising prices, it will be able to continue providing farmers with fair compensation while ensuring that consumers receive high-quality milk. The company operates hundreds of milk booths in Delhi-NCR in addition to Safal retail locations.
Another significant competitor in the Delhi-NCR market is Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells milk under the Amul brand. It sells close to 40 lakh litres every day.
