Adipurush poster

Ever since the teaser of Prabhas-Kriti starrer Adipurush was out, the film has been in troubles. While firs the audience had made of it’s poor VFX, later the film also entered into legal troubles and now social media users are also asking for a ban on the film.

#BanAdipurush was trending on Thursday on Twitter. And seems like after poor VFX, tweeple are also upset over the look of several characters. The main concern of the social media users seems like the look of Hanuman in Adipurush. The character with an almost VFX effect has no mustache and heavy beard.

And in no time a section of Indian audience joined it to the Hindu-Muslim propaganda and stated that this look belongs to a person following Islam and cannot be tolerated for a Hindu god.

People later also expressed their dismay over Saif Ali Khan’s selection for playing Ravana. As the actor is a Muslim and him playing Shiva’s biggest devotee was also unacceptable for some.

It seems like the tweeple don’t really have any consideration over the craft and are just taken over the religious logistics. However, any actor has never chosen a role over the character religion but it seems like soon the makers will now also have to keep this in mind as social media is growing toxic with each passing day.

However, seems like the director was aware of this facets and Om Raut, the director of Adipurush broke silence on the trolls and said that he was definitely dishearten but not surprised with the reactions.

He further said that Prabhas-Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush is made for the big screens and one cannot cut it down for mobile phones and still like it. He even added that its the environment that he can’t control. Given a choice, he would never display the trailer or the movie on YouTube but seems like that’s the need of the hour, as the makers need to put it there so that it reaches a wide audience.
