Uttar Pradesh: Teen rape survivor hacked to death by accused, Congress says criminals in UP are fearless
The Congress in its post also questioned when the darkness of the dark city will go away and the daughters in this worst state be able to breathe a sigh of security and peace in the air of freedom.

In yet another shocking incident, a 19-year-old woman was hacked to death in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh Kaushambi district by two brothers, including the man accused of raping her, police said on Tuesday morning. Police asserted that the killers, Ashok and Pawan Nishad had been released on bail a few days before the brutal murder.
Police stated that the woman butchered with an axe on the main road as scared villagers watched helplessly. Pawan Nishad is accused of raping her three years ago, when she was a minor. Reports said that Pawan and his associates had been harassing the woman, since then, to get her to drop the case lodged against him.
The police added that Pawan’s brother, Ashok Nishad, is an accused in a separate murder case and was released less than two days before the young woman’s murder. The officials explained that Pawan was out of jail by this time and the two plotted to confront the woman’s family and force them to close the case.
Nonetheless, the young woman refused to back down, after which the brothers ambushed and slaughtered her as she was returning from grazing her family’s cattle at a nearby field. Police said that Pawan and Ashok Nishad are now on the run.
Kaushambi Superintendent of Police, Brijesh Srivastava, said that there was a dispute between two parties in the same community regarding an old rivalry and litigation. Members of one party killed the girl with a sharp weapon. He asserted that a police complaint was filed and the accused have been booked. He said that the horrific incident took place at the Dherha village and that the police have sent the woman’s body for a post-mortem examination and have formed teams to arrest the accused.
Meanwhile, Congress has slammed the Yogi Adityanath led BJP government in the state, saying that the criminals in UP are so fearless that they have no fear of any law. Taking to social media platform X, Congress stated that in Kaushambi, two brutes publicly killed a girl by cutting her with an axe.
The social media post added that one of these criminals had come out on bail just two days ago in a murder case and the other one was accused of raping the same deceased girl. The post claimed that the daughters in UP are so unsafe that if they raise their voice about their stolen honour, they may have to lose their lives.
The Congress in its post also questioned when the darkness of the dark city would go away and when will daughters in this worst state be able to breathe a sigh of security and peace in the air of freedom.
