President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday donated Rs 5 lakh to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhy a day after a nationwide fund collection drive for Ram Mandir construction was launched.

A delegation of VHP’s international working president Alok Kumar, treasure of the trust, Govind Dev Giri and former bureaucrat Nripendra Misra, who is the head of the temple construction committee, were part of the delegation that called on President Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The fund collection campaign will be carried out across 525,000 villages and the monies collected will have to be deposited within 48 hours in banks. The drive will continue till February 27.
Earlier, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Shetra Trust had announced that the construction of Ram Mandir will be build using only domestic funds collected from the general public through a mass contact programme. Later the Trust has started contribution campaign across the country for the construction of the temple.
In Patna, launching the Samarpan Nidhi Sangraha Abhiyan, the BJP senior leader Sushil Kumar Modi said every Hindu family in Bihar will contribute whatever fund is required for the construction of Ram Mandir.

Punjab: Farmer’s rail roko protest enters 3rd day, disrupts train services

Sankalp Saptaah: PM Modi today launches week-long initiative for aspirational blocks at Bharat Mandapam

According to the statement, about 3,000 panchayat and block level functionaries and representatives of the people are expected to attend the inaugural event at Bharat Mandapam, in addition to about two lakh farmers, block and panchayat level functionaries, and people from other walks of life who will participate virtually.
Starting on October 3 and running through October 9, each day of Sankalp Saptaah is devoted to a distinct development subject on which all aspirational blocks will focus. Sampoorna Swasthya, Suposhit Pariwaar, Swachhta, Krishi, Shiksha, and Samridhi Diwas are some of the themes for the first six days, according to the statement.
