Manish or MONEY SHH Sisodia: After CBI raid, Anurag Thakur suggests new spelling of Deputy Chief Minister’s name, Congress demands resignation
Manish Sisodia, a trusted lieutenant of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, is no stranger to controversies.

A day after the CBI raid at the home of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia over corruption allegations in the liquor policy, Union Minister Anurag Thakur suggested a new spelling of Sissodia’s name. He spelt Manish as MONEY SHH and showed it to the media alleging that he makes money and maintains silence.
Addressing a press conference right after Sisodia’s press conference in Delhi, Thakur also termed the AAP government a Bevri Sarkar (the government of drinkers). The AAP should not try to divert attention from the excise scam by raising other issues as its real face has been unmasked, he said.
Manish Sisodia is accused no 1 while Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin. This AAP government is Rewari and Bevari, Thakur said.
Manish Sisodia, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and a trusted lieutenant of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is no stranger to controversies. He found himself at the centre of yet another controversy on Saturday, a day after the CBI raided his residence over alleged corruption in the Delhi government’s now-withdrawn Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

The genesis of this high-level CBI raid can be traced back to July 8, when Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar had submitted a report to lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, accusing Sisodia of providing undue benefits to liquor licensees in lieu of kickbacks and commissions that AAP allegedly utilised in February’s Punjab assembly elections.
Without missing any opportunity of targeting Delhi’s government, the Congress, following its opposition BJP’s path, sharpened its attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and also demanded the arrest and resignation of Delhi’s Deputy CM over his alleged involvement in a corruption case in implementing the Delhi Excise Policy.
The BJP described him as the kingpin of the liquor scam in the capital while Congress leaders Alka Lamba, Shama Mohammed and Abhishek Dutt said he should resign from his post.
Earlier, Delhi Congress Chief Anil Kumar said the party wrote to the then Police Commissioner of Delhi, Rakesh Asthana, in June informing him of a multi-crore scam in the illegal distribution of liquor licences to shell companies.
