[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the country would disintegrate if BJP comes to power in the upcoming general elections, while speaking at the Mamata Banerjee’s mega rally in Kolkata.

Kejriwal took a jibe on Modi-Shah government stating that “What Pakistan could not achieve in 70 years since India’s independence, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have achieved in five years.”

He also added that “They have turned Hindus against Muslims, Muslims against Christians. If they return to power the country will disintegrate.”

“It was Pakistan’s dream to split this country into pieces. This BJP government is going ahead in that direction by creating enmity among people and dividing the nation on the lines of religion, language…” Arvind Kejriwal said.

“Demonetisation has taken away all the scope of employment and Modi’s friendly insurance companies were making money at the cost of farmers,” the Delhi CM alleged.

The alleged land grabbing and sexual harassment case in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal has triggered a major political battle among the ruling Trinamool Congress party and the opposition. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday claimed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is hiding something in the matter and is protecting Shahjahan Sheikh and his allies.

The BJP leader said that Mamata Banerjee is risking the honour of women in Bengal in order to save her political reputation. Questioning why parties like CPI(M) and Congress are  silent on the issue, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that he heard that a woman leader of CPM visited the area but has not opposed the incident or made a public comment. He remarked that Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is also silent on the issue.

Since last week, several women in the district have been protesting against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh who is allegedly the mastermind behind the incident. Though the West Bengal police have arrested two TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh is still absconding. The BJP leaders in the state claimed that the police administration has become the party office of the ruling party.

Meanwhile, State BJP president Sukanta Mazumdar on Monday, said that the party would hold a 72-hour long protest in the coming days demanding the arrest of Sheikh Shahjahan amid the turmoil in West Bengal over the Sandeshkhali violence. He added that the probable day of protest is February 22.

Slamming Mamata Banerjee for accusing BJP of instigating violence in the state, the BJP president said that the Chief Minister should be a little more sensitive towards the women in the state and refrain from making such statements. He added that the Trinamool Congress party was in a complete denial mode of any violence in the state initially.

Reportedly, West Bengal’s Sandeshkhali area has been witnessing massive unrest for more than 10 days as women protestors are seeking justice against alleged atrocities committed by TMC leader Sheikh Shajahan and his aides.

Kharge said Congress is going to add the farmers demands in their election manifesto and will also give a legal guarantee to them. The Congress President said all crops cannot be covered but the essential crops should be provided with MSP.

Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said he promised to double the maximum support price in the 2014 election but has not fulfilled his promise until now. Patwari said the Prime Minister of the country had said in the 2014 elections what mistake has the farmer made? Why are they not getting the benefit of their crop? Patwari said PM Modi had promised that support price of the crops will be doubled.

Patwari said five years have passed and nothing has been done. He said there were movements in the country many times, talks were carried out with the government that the MSP will be implemented but no action was taken. Earlier Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the BJP for not implementing recommendations of the MS Swaminathan report.

Gandhi asked since bank loans worth Rs 14 lakh crore have been waived off, Rs 1.8 lakh crore corporate tax exemption has been given, why is a little expenditure on farmers an eye sore?

He said the rise in MSP will lead to an increase in investment in agriculture which will further lead to an increase in demand in rural India and this fill further instil confidence in the farmers to grow different types of crops. This is going to guarantee the prosperity of India. Gandhi said those who are spreading confusion on MSP are insulting Dr Swaminathan and his dreams.
