Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday hit out at the Modi government saying all those who raise their voice against the government are branded as enemies and crony capitalists are considered best friends. He said dissenting students are anti-nationals, concerned citizens are urban naxals. Migrant labourers are Covid carriers. Rape victims are nobody and protesting farmers are Khalistani.

Congress on Monday slammed the central government over the farmers’ day-long hunger strike, saying the government should hold the hands of the country’s food providers by repealing the new farm laws.

The farmers’ and several farmers’ unions protesting against the Centre’s new farm laws observed a 9-hour long strike on Monday at various Delhi borders where they have been camping for the last 20 days. The strike started at 8 am and ended at 5 pm. They have planned demonstrations across the country. The strike was a part of the farmers’ plan to intensify their protests against the contentious farm laws. Centre is being stubborn about farmers demands. This is an attempt to wake them up, Balkaran Singh Brar, Working President, All India Kisan Sabha, Punjab had said. Leaders of around 32 farmer unions observed a day-long hunger strike.

Congress’ chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said for the first time in 73 years, the farmers who feed the nation are on a hunger strike throughout the country. How many more achche din you will bring Modi ji!

Former Union minister and senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal tweeted in Hindi that who is the real Tukde Tukde Gang, those who don’t see citizens as equals, those who spread hate in society, those who spread fear with their policies, those who praise Godse. Our farmers are not Tukde Tukde Gang.
