Former Indian spinner and current commentator, Harbhajan Singh is rooting for Umran Malik’s inclusion in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. Harbhajan Singh believes that Umran should bowl in tandem with pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah in Australia.

Umran Malik is currently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing tournament of Indian Premier League. Malik has caught everyone’s attention with the pace and bounce in his bowling. The SRH superstar bowler has consistently bowling over the 150 kmph mark in IPL 2022.

Talking about Umran Malik, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh said, “Umran Malik is my favorite. I want to see him in the Indian team because the kind of bowler he is. Tell me any one bowler who bowls more than 150 kmph and is not playing for the country.

Harbhajan added to that and said because of these reasons he thinks it will be helpful to have him in the team and Harbhajan Singh believes that Umran will inspire many youngsters to take up this game.

The great off-spinner seems to be super impressed with Umrah hence he even went ahead and said, if he would have been a part of the national selection committee, he would have definitely picked Umran Malik for the Indian team.

Umran Malik has claimed 15 wickets so far. The 22 years old has hurled the fastest delivery of 157 kmph in IPL 2022. Witnessing the same, Harbhajan Singh said that Umran Malik should partner Jasprit Bumrah whenever India plays in Australia for T20 World Cup.

The former cricketer added, “I am sure Umran has a lot to learn but selectors should not go on his age and should give him a chance. I know he’s a promising cricketer and everyone hopes to see him get selected and represent India someday.”

Hence, in the third and last match of the series, captain Rohit Sharma will be free to try the bench strength and rest some regular players. This has also been indicated by his statement after the second ODI in Raipur.

After taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, when Rohit Sharma was asked about the bowling of the Indian team, he replied in such a way that it seemed that in the third ODI that is to be held in Indore, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj can be given rest to either of them. Moreover, the Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav can also be rested so that Yuzi Chahal can take over.

Rohit Sharma said, that the Indian bowlers came forward from the last 5 ODIs. Shami and Siraj were eager to bowl long spells but I reminded them that the Test series is coming, so we need to take care of them,”
