Virat Kohli is marking his comeback in international cricket after a short break and amidst his lead patch. And seems like former Pakistan cricketer Misbah-ul-Haq has something to say on the matter.

During a recent press meet when, Haq was asked about Virat Kohli’s rough patch, the cricketer was quick to respond and said that Virat is over burdened by his pride and ego to dominate world class bowlers.

“Virat Kohli is trying to dominate. He has got ego and pride that ‘I have to dominate’,” Misbah-ul-Haq said while talking about Kohli’s extended lean patch.

However, Misbah also tried to explain the reasons behind this phase of the Indian cricketer. He said, “When there are too many noises in the head, then a cricketer’s mind and bodily coordination which helps us to react and play the ball gets broken.”

“No matter how great a player is, the outside noise bothers and automation gets affected. But it’s natural, some people can sometimes complicate it, despite being the greatest,” Misbah-ul-Haq added.  great,” Misbah said in a conversation on ICA YouTube channel.

According to Haq, Virat Kohli is mounted by the pressure of his ego and outside noise. And hence, the cricketer seems out of form from some time.

However, Virat Kohli will have to step up and make his presence feel in the ongoing IND vs ENG 5th Test match as this decider will tell that who would lift the Pataudi Trophy 2022.

Team India has a lead in the series by 2-1 and it is important for the Indian side seal the final match on a winning note. However, the two top scorers of this series from the Indian side are Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul but unfortunately, due to their health issue both are out of the series.

Hence, Senior players like Virat, Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah will have to take the plunge and play well to win the series. The game has been interrupted due to rain and coming to bat first India is at 52 for 2 wickets. Both the Indian openers Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubhman Gill have returned back to pavilion and it’s the most experienced player of Test cricketer, Jimmy Anderson who bagged both the wickets.
