Chennai Super Kings crushed Gujarat Titans to secure a victory by 63 runs at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday. The Gujarat Titans won the toss but nothing seemed to go right for Gujarat Titans as Ruturaj Gaikwad’s team dominated the Gujarat Titans in all departments of the game.

Chennai super Kings captain Rururaj Gaikwad said Shivam Dube has worked on his weakness against the short ball quite well and it has a lot to do with Mahendra Singh Dhoni personally working with the Mumbai batsman. The left handed batsman smashed 5 sixes in his 23 ball half century.

The Gujarat Titans were set to chase a target of 207 by the Chennai Super Kings. The Gujarat Titans were under pressure from the start to score at above 10 an over. The pitch offered even pace and bounce and Gujarat Titans batsmen failed to make a match of it.

Deepak Chahal rattled the Gujarat Titans plans right at the start of the innings. Chahar sent back openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubhman Gill with only 34 runs on the board. Gujarat Titans skipper was dismissed as he was trapped lbw for 8 runs (5 balls). Gill opted for a review which showed that he did not have any clue about the trajectory and line of the ball as well as his own position in front of the stumps.

But for Sai Sudarshan there was no contribution which could be mentioned. Tushar Deshpande (2/21), Mustafizur Rahman (2/30) and Chahar (2/28) did the job for CSK with the ball. A T20 innings with more dot balls than boundaries and sixes was bound to end up in a losing cause. Chennai Super Kings has moved on the top the table with back to back wins. Rachin Ravindra took charge with a six off a Umesh Yadav length ball and did not stop thereafter as long as he stayed in the middle.
