T20 World Cup 2022

South Africa’s legendary cricketer Shaun Pollock has made a solid remark on Indian cricket team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He said that Yuzvendra Chahal has better chance of being in the team over Rahul Chahar.

However, previously Rahul Chahar was picked over Yuzvendra Chahal in the India squad for the T20 World Cup 2021. In the last season of Indian Premiere League, Rahul Chahar’s performance was outstanding and on the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal was struggling to get wickets and hence was later dropped by the team.

Former cricketer Shaun Pollock made this remark over Yuzi Chahal’s impressive performance in the ongoing IPL 2022. Chahal was dropped from his former team Royal Challengers Bangalore and war bought by Rajasthan Royal during the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The team has been performing in the current season of Indian Premiere League and holds both the table topper caps.

Currently, Yuzi has bagged 22 wickets in the 11 matches played so far for Rajasthan Royals. He is also the only player to have a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul in the IPL 2022 so far. However, Rahul Chahar has also had some amazing spell this season and the cricketer holds 12 wickets in ten matches with an average of 22.08.

Talking about the same South Africa’s legendary cricketer Shaun Pollock said, “During the last World Cup, Yuzvendra Chahal seemed out of sorts, and even his deliveries were flat. I felt like the spinner was hesitant to let it out. People also said that his mojo was gone. However, that’s normal and happens to every cricketer.”

He further added, but this time Yuzi seems prepared and should be focused on by the Indian team management. Hence, I believe that he will be picked for the Indian Squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, over Rahul Chahar.”
