Kubera movie earning

Dhanush’s latest crime drama Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula, is making a steady climb at the box office, closing in on the Rs 50 crore mark within its first weekend. Released on June 20, the film has earned Rs 48.50 crore in just three days.

Weekend breakdown shows growing momentum

Kuberaa opened with an impressive Rs 14.75 crore on Friday. The numbers surged to Rs 16.5 crore on Saturday, followed by Rs 17.25 crore on Sunday, taking its total earnings to Rs 48.50 crore. Despite competition and regional language constraints, the film’s Telugu version showed strong occupancy rates—80.06% during Sunday afternoon shows, 80.19% in the evening, and 70.64% at night.

While the Telugu and Tamil versions continue to dominate, the film is still struggling to make a notable impact in the Hindi belt, where collections range from Rs 23 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

Star-studded cast and bilingual format boost reach

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, who co-wrote the screenplay with Chaithanya Pingali, Kuberaa is a bilingual crime drama produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. The film stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil. The simultaneous shooting in Tamil and Telugu has broadened its appeal across South India.

With its gripping storyline and strong performances, the film is expected to cross the Rs50 crore mark soon, riding on positive word-of-mouth and high occupancy in regional circuits.
