Trinamool Congress MLA Idris Ali on Thursday reached Bengal Assembly in white kurta mentioning special message for the BJP and probe agencies. The MLA came to state assembly wearing white kurta mentioning slogan “CBI, ED can’t touch me. Don’t touch my body I am Male.

A video of his unique appearance in Bengal Assembly is doing rounds on social media.

In the video, the MLA can be seen appearing at the state assembly in white kurta. When a reporter asked why you came here in this attire, he replied why not.

Is this for the BJP? the reporter asked in the video. To this, the MLA can be seen saying that the BJP leaders have nothing to do. They do not talk about the development but every decides what to wear and what to eat, the MLA said in the video.

An IRCTC official told the truth about Bihar tourism and claimed that foreign tourists are not visiting Bihar because of the liquor ban. They should be allowed to drink in order to promote tourism in Bihar, he said while addressing a conference on Sunday.

Zafar Azam, the IRCTC East Zone General Manager, said Liquor is essential for the development of tourism in Bihar. The IRCTC is working on how to bring foreign tourists to Bihar and he will talk to the government soon about the same, he said.

A video of his conversation with IRCTC officials about liquor access to foreign tourists is doing rounds on social media. In the video, Azam can be seen explaining the tourism potential of Bihar, especially religious tourism.

The official can be heard saying that Bihar is the only state across India which is having tourist pilgrimage centres of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and even Britishers.

If the government wants foreign currency in India, the Bihar government should allow foreign tourists to follow their lifestyle.

The IRCTC official strongly believed that the government will accept the IRCTC’s recommendation in order to increase the number of visitors in Bihar.

About 3.5 crore tourists visit Bihar every year. Among them, 3.25% of foreign tourists visit the state.

The video shared by a Twitter user named Lakshmi Narayana B S with the caption Sanskrit and cricket has accumulated more than 133,000 views and over 6,600 likes.

Taking to Twitter, a user said he never heard cricket commentary in Sanskrit before he remembers the days when he went to a Sanskrit workshop, everyone use to talk in Sanskrit all the teachers to the students. While another user said India needs this Sanskrit cricket commentary in International cricket.

Oh god, too good , everyone should be able to talk like this in Sanskrit and also regional languages, one user tweeted.

Cricket commentary has been televised for a long time in Hindi, English, and other regional languages. The 15th edition of the tournament was featured across languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Bengali, and the newly added Gujarati feed.

In a dreadful fire incident, at least five people including three children died and more than 66 people sustained burn injuries as a Durga Puja Pandal in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi district caught fire on Sunday night.

It was a stampede-like situation for at least three hours as the fire engulfed the Pandal. On receiving information, firefighters also reached the spot and began rushing the injured children and women from the Pandal to the hospitals.

After the incident, the UP Police and administrative staffers including District Magistrate (DM), Bhadohi, Gaurang Rathi, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Anil Kumar reached the spot to inspect the scene.

Negligence of organising committee cropped

The Narthua Durga Pandal in Aurai Tehsil of Bhadohi district is a centre of attraction. Religious programmes are screened through projectors inside the Pandal. To watch them, women and children of more than a dozen villages reached here on Sunday. More than 150 women and children were present at the said Pandal.

The negligence of the organising committee has come to the fore in the incident. A stampede-like situation was created when the fire flames engulfed the Pandal after a short circuit. Children and women fell inside the Pandal owing to a single entry gate. As the Pandal was made from fibre and plastic foil, within a few moments, the whole Pandal caught fire. The people present there did not get a chance to apprehend the situation and many of them sustained burn injuries.

The President of the Organising Committee, Baccha Yadav was booked by the Bhadohi Police, reports said.
