A Scheduled Caste family in Karnataka’s Koppal district replaced idols of Hindu deities with the pictures of Lord Buddha and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar after Rs 60000 fine was imposed on their son for touching the Hindu God’s idols.

A video of replacing Hindu deities with the photographs of Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Lord Buddha is doing rounds on social media.

In the video, a member of the fined family can be seen replacing the idols and photographs of Hindu deities with Lord Buddha and BR Ambedkar. One family member fixes Ambedakar’s photo while another put the idols of Lord Buddha infront of Ambedkar’s photo.

A Dalit family has been fined Rs 60,000 after a 15-year-old boy allegedly touched a pole attached to Hindu idol ready to be taken out for the procession at the Hullerahalli village in Malur taluk.

The villagers have imposed 60000 fine to the Dalit boy, Chetan, touched the idol and attempted to carry it on his head.

Following this incident, the family decided to stop worshipping Hindu deities. If God does not want them, then the family will not pray to such Gods. From now onwards, the family will worship only Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and Lord Buddha, said Shobhamma, the boy’s mother.

Shobamma lives in Ullerahalli in Malur taluk of Kolar district, around 60 km from Bengaluru, with her family.

On September 9, Shobamma was penalised for her son’s alleged crime but the incident came to light on Monday when she came out to talk to a few Dalit organisations of Kolar district.

The police booked Narayanaswamy, Venkateshappa, the husband of the village head and several others in the case under the Protection of Civil Rights Act.

The father of a victim in Odisha train accident on June 2, travelled 230 KM in search of a son who was declared dead.

The father had refused to accept that his son died in the tragic train accident in Balasore. He did not lose hope and travelled over 230 km from Kolkata to Balasore to find his son.

Biswajit Malik, 24, was presumed to have died in the train accident. his father Helaram Malik pursued a relentless quest to locate his son and his dedication to find his son led him to a makeshift morgue in Odisha where he arrived in an ambulance from Kolkata after a long journey.

Helaram who runs a small shop in Howrah, took brother-in-law, Dipak Das’s help in getting son back home.

Initially, it was not easy for Helaram to locate his son, he tirelessly searched for his son and failed many times. His will power helped him, Helaram and Das while their search, arrived at Bahanaga High School where they were encountered with a temporary morgue filled with numerous dead bodies of the victims of the train accident. After all the odds and struggle they finally found Biswajit, they discovered a severely injured body but alive. They quickly took him to Balasore Hospital where he was given immediate medical assistance.

However, doctor adviced Helaram to transfer his son to Cuttack Medical College Hospital but despite this recommendation, He discharged Biswajit and returned home, signing a bond. Das and Helaram arranged an ambulance, Biswajit remained largely unconscious throughout their journey back to Kolkata.

It was surprising to know that Biswajit’s condition remained stable despite his critical injuries. When he arrived Kolkata, he underwent surgery at SSKM Hospital’s Trauma care unit.

The forensic medical report of Biswajit’s survival says the concept of suspended animation, where a person’s vital signs significantly reduces. Expert Somnath said, it is possible that due to the circumstances of the search and rescue operations, the injured passengers vital signs were not adequately checked.

A video of a Japanese girl speaking Bengali fluently went viral in 2020. In a recent Instagram video, content creator Prashant Kumar can be seen conversing in Hindi with a Korean man by the name of Charlie.


On social media, a video showing Charlie’s Bihari accent has gained significant traction and the social media users are praising Charlie for his proficiency in Hindi.

This video has gained lakhs of views across internet. One user wrote speaking Hindi itself is a big deal for a foreigner but speaking in a Bihari accident is totally a different level.


Currently, Charlie is on a tour of Patna and is amazed to see the city’s progress. He believes Patna is more cleaner than New York.


Interestingly, Charlie was living in Patna since he was 2 years old. In one of his videos on Instagram, he talks about his upbringing in Indian culture.

He wrote he was brought in Patna till the age of 20 used to speak Hindi as natural as an Indian and adopted the Indian accent while speaking English. Charlie wrote, during his childhood he used to feel shy and uncomfortable to speak English.

A shocking video is doing round from Kanker city in Chhattisgarh, revealing a distressing incident of violence and abuse towards innocent children at an adoption centre. The Shivnagar adoption centre, which should serve as a safe haven, has turned into a house of torment. The viral video clearly depicts a woman violently pulling a child’s hair and throwing her to the ground, raising serious concerns about the safety of girls in such facilities.

Anurag Tiwari, NDTV journalist tweets the viral video stating how someone can be so barbaric, the pictures are disturbing but it is necessary that the culprit should be punished. He said there is an orphanage in Kanker, it is alleged that the person shown in the video is program manager who is showing some kind of barbarism, tagging Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said what kind of society we have created. After the video goes viral several person on twitter asked for the strict action against the culprit.

The brutality can be seen in the video, woman can be seen inhumanly beating the children. She strikes a young girl with her hand, forcefully throws her to the ground, and even hurls her onto a bed after making her stand up. The girls cries and screams for mercy but the woman continue to inflict harm and shows no mercy towards the child, it can be seen that two maid pass by the scene but ignored the violence and do nothing to stop it. The violence does not stop here, heartless woman calls another child from distance and subject her to further brutal beating, even resorting to verbal abuse.

According to the report, the woman is identified as Seema Drivedi, the program manager. Due to her cruelty children are psychologically disturbed, will have long life impact on them. Although CCTV cameras are installed for security but the program manager switches them off at night, raising doubts about the safety protocols in place.  

Previously, there have been complaints by the employees against the manager. It is alarming to know that despite many complaints by the employees, there has been no action against her instead resulting in termination of the employees. Eight employees who opposed her action were fired within a year. In fact complaint reaching the Women and Children Development Department, no action has been taken, allowing the program manager to continue her abusive behavior unchecked.
