It was recently revealed that Joram, starring Manoj Bajpayee, had been added to the Oscar library. The survival thriller has been added to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Library’s prestigious permanent core collection.

In response to this momentous acknowledgement for the movie, Manoj Bajpayee said he doesn’t work for validation, even if he was thrilled to hear the good news.

In an interview, Manoj Bajpayee reacted to Joram’s entry to the Oscar library. Although it’s fantastic news, he said he doesn’t work for validation. He claimed that the reason he works is his passion for it. Bajpayee said, they have received some fantastic news, and he truly believes that this completes the circle. He doesn’t work for approval. The Joram actor added, he works because this is what he want to do and this is what he’s passionate about.

Manoj Bajpayee not only featured in Joram, but he also helped find producers and arrange for the movie’s release in India. The actor claimed that being involved in and creating a film puts him more in his element than the final product. He went on to say that despite Joram receiving this esteemed award, he is still critical of his own performance in the movie.

The actor added, you’re best the greatest and harshest judge of yourself. The only person who truly understands how much he could have accomplished and how much he just overlooked, missed, or lacked in certain areas is him, and that process is ongoing. He went on to say that he loves that he is constantly learning and growing.

A few days ago, the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced that the screenplay Joram had been added to its prestigious Permanent Core Collection. This establishes the film as one of the cinematic masterpieces kept for study in the reading room of the library and signifies a major acknowledgement of its remarkable story and plot.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
