OMG 2 new song Har Har Mahadev out, Akshay Kumar shines in powerful track

The spiritual sequel to OMG – Oh My God! from 2012, OMG 2, is all set to release in theatres the following month. In the sequel, Akshay Kumar is seen playing Lord Shiva while in the first part he played Lord Krishna. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam Dhar in pivotal roles. The movie is helmed by Amit Rai. The teaser of the film has already sparked interest among fans and now the makers of the film have released a powerful track titled Har Har Mahadev, in which Akhay Kumar is seen performing Shiv Tandav.

Har Har Mahadev’s song has been written by Shekhar Astitwa, while Vikram Montrose sang and composed the music. The song was extensively shot on a huge scale with a setup of a team of large background dancers. In the video, it can be seen that the song’s visuals are stunning.

The opening of the song Har Har Mahadev features an army of male and female Shiva followers doing the Tandava movement while dressed in traditional attire and with ash smeared on their faces.

The public has expressed appreciation for the music’s beats and vocals. The enthusiastic dances and explosive performance of Akshay Kumar in the song had the audience raving. The song’s choreography has also received praise.

Taking to the comment section one user said that is the strong performance that have been waiting for. Another said, no one can match the energy of Akshay Kumar. While others said that this song is giving them goosebumps.

By uploading a motion poster of the song on Wednesday, Akshay piqued the curiosity of his followers. Ash was visible on the actor’s face and hair as he posed with his chin resting on a dumroo and looked directly into the camera.

Earlier, rumours circulated that the Central Board of Certification (CBFC) had postponed OMG 2. However, Akshay Kumar has reassured the audience that his film will open in theatres on August 11 as scheduled in 2023.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.
