The trailer for Shahid Kapoor’s highly anticipated action thriller, Deva, has been released ahead of schedule. Following a gripping teaser and the pulsating track “Bhasad Macha,” the full trailer delivers even more intensity, speed, and explosive action.

Opening with Shahid’s voiceover, the trailer reveals that his character, a Mumbai police officer, is on a mission for revenge after terrorists have killed his fellow cop. He articulates a bold plan to infiltrate every lane and area they have left unprotected, demanding “full freedom” in the process.

As he embarks on his mission, Shahid faces reprimands from his superiors, who criticize his “hooliganism” and bring attention to media reports that label him as “mafia.” Undeterred, he defiantly declares to a criminal, “I’m mafia,” and continues his aggressive raids, accompanied by energetic Marathi dhol beats. The trailer showcases his carefree dancing as he pursues wrongdoers through the streets.

A pivotal moment unfolds when Pavail Gulati’s character confronts Shahid, telling him, “Ye jo gussa hai na tera, ye darr hai tera” (your anger is, in fact, your fear). Additionally, Kubra Sait’s character urges Shahid to shoot an escaping criminal, creating tension as he hesitates to pull the trigger.

The film centers on Shahid Kapoor as a rebellious police officer navigating a high-profile case teeming with deceit, betrayal, and dangerous conspiracies.

Deva also features Pooja Hegde in a significant role as a journalist. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Zee Studios and Siddharth Roy Kapur, it is scheduled to hit theatres on January 31. This marks Shahid’s return to the big screen after nearly a year since his last role in the sci-fi romantic comedy “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” alongside Kriti Sanon.
