One of the reasons behind excessive hair fall and grey hair is our unhealthy food habits and lifestyle. People even try their hands on various medications and colour their hair too, however, nothing acts as a prompt solution for premature greying.

According to Ayurveda Expert, Dr Diva Bhavasar, premature greying of our hair can be reversed with the help of Ayurveda. She said that we can go for some simple remedies to prevent our hair strands from further greying.

Expert has suggested some easy hacks that we can do even at our home to prevent further greying of our hair.

  1. Oil your hair twice a week to prevent your hair from further greying.
  2. Avoid consuming fried, fermented, salty, excessive spicy food and non-veg. Make sure you consume sweet, bitter and astringent food items.
  3. Consume amla regularly in winters to avoid greying of hair.
  4. As the saying goes, early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise. So, you must try to sleep before 10 pm as it is vital to take good quality of sleep.
  5. Avoid washing your hair with excessive hot water.
  6. Include curry leaves, green leafy vegetables, sesame seeds and cow ghee in your daily diet to make your healthy also.

How to apply various mixtures on hair to prevent greying of hair?

  1. Aloe Vera Gel: Mix the aloe vera gel with coconut oil. Then apply the mixture on your hair to strengthen your hair hands. It will make your hair shiny.
  2. Amla (Indian goseberry) powder: Firstly, heat about 2 Tbsp of amla powder in 3 Tbsp of coconut oil. Heat it until it becomes black. Then apply the mixture on your hair after it cools down.
  3. Curry Leaves: Firstly, heat a handful of curry leaves with the coconut oil. Heat it until it appears black to you. Then, apply the mixture on your scalp when it cools down. Also, as per the expert you can consume curry leaves in your daily diet. It contains various multivitamins and iron that prevent further greying of hair.
