Meanwhile, the ongoing Hindi debate on social media is not going to die anytime soon. From celebrities to top politicians, people’s reactions have divided Twitter. It all started when Kucchi Sudeep, a Kannada actor, during the promotion of his film commented on the Hindi language. He had said that Hindi is no more a national language.
Referring to Bollywood, Sudeep said that the industry is making pan-India films and is struggling during Telugu and Tamil dubbings. He further said that the South Indian film industry is making films that are going everywhere.
Soon after Sudeep’s video went viral, Ajay Devgn, in a Hindi tweet wrote that if Hindi is not the national language then why do they (South Indian industry) release their mother tongue films by dubbing them in Hindi. Hindi was, is, and always be our mother tongue and national language, the actor concluded.
Hitting back at Ajay Devgn, Kiccha Sudeep then tweeted that the context of his comment is entirely different to the way it has reached the actor and he will explain it to Ajay when he meets him personally. Sudeep clarified that the statement was not to hurt, provoke, or start any debate, Sudeep clarified.
