Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Monday, hailed the historic Oscar win of RRR’s Naatu Naatu as the best original song.

In a tweet, PM Modi, while congratulating Naatu Naatu Music Director MM Keeravaani, lyricist Chandrabose, along with the entire team of SS Rajamouli’s global blockbuster, said that the viral song has global popularity and will be remembered for years to come.

PM Modi tweeted: “The popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @boselyricist and the entire team for this prestigious honour. India is elated and proud. #Oscars.”

PM Modi also congratulated Indian documentary filmmakers Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga for winning an Oscar for the Best Documentary Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said the award-winning short documentary wonderfully highlights the importance of sustainable development and living in harmony with nature.

In another tweet, the PM also congratulated documentary filmmakers Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga for India’s second win at the Oscars. Their documentary short ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short Film.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Monday, etched its name in cinema history by becoming the first Indian film to score an Oscar for the best original for its chartbuster song Naatu Naatu. RRR music director MM Keeravaani accepted the award with a humble Namaste gesture and also sang a rendition of The Carpenters’ hit ‘Top Of The World’ in his acceptance speech.

Naatu Naatu—composed by MM Keeravaani and written by lyricist—has already won a Golden Globe Award and a Critics Choice Award.

On Monday, Naatu Naatu became the second Indian language song to win the Oscars for the best original song after Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire won the same in 2009.

Ecstatic at the historic Oscar win, the RRR team thanked the film’s fans across the globe and dedicated the award to them. They tweeted: ”We’re blessed that #RRRMovie is the first feature film to bring INDIA’s first ever #Oscar in the Best Song Category with #NaatuNaatu! No words can describe this surreal moment. Dedicating this to all our amazing fans across the world. THANK YOU!!”

Katrina Kaif deepfake video goes viral, social media says it is getting scary

Kartrina Kaif, who never hesitates to attempt new things, as seen by her success as an entrepreneur and her talent as an actor. Recently, a video of Katrina speaking in French that was created by AI has appeared online, has gone viral. Some fans are shocked and think it’s true, others have expressed worry about how frightening deep fakes are getting.

The video is from 2019, when Katrina and Salman Khan went to Mumbai to celebrate the release of Bina Kak’s book, Silent Sentinels of Ranthambhore.

The video was posted from Katrina Kaif’s Instagram fan page with the caption, saying, back in 2019, Bina Kak ji’s book launch (Silent Sentinels of Ranthambhore) was attended by both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Salman and Katrina have a close relationship with her thanks to their Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya film.

In that film, Bina Kak portrayed Salman’s mother. The caption gave a disclaimer that said, the French voiceover is AI generated but the speech didn’t been morphed or twisted , exact same as her original speech. Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, which is directed by David Dhawan, The film which was released in 2005, also stars Sushmita Sen, Arshad Warsi and Rajpal Yadav in key roles.

Many people who were reacting to the video missed the caption and assumed it was real. The reality of it surprised some who verified that artificial intelligence was used in creating that video. A user said, deepfakes are getting scary. Another said, AI is the best but it is not safe. A third user said, he almost fell for this edited video. The AI-generated video fooled some others, who said, she’s so supremely talented unlike any other actor!

Meanwhile, on work front, Katrina Kaif was last seen in Merry Christmas co-starring Vijay Sethupathi. This film marks the first joint venture of Katrina and Vijay. Based on the French novel Le Monte-charge (Bird in a Cage), Sriram Raghavan directed the film. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.

Ibrahim Ali Khan makes Instagram debut, first post goes viral

Finally, Ibrahim Ali Khan has made his Instagram debut. Ibrahim didn’t let fans down after promising them in a paparazzi video that he would make an announcement about his arrival on the platform at 11 a.m. today.

Ibrahim shared his first Instagram picture. He is posing for a photo session for the massive sportswear company Puma, for whom he has been named a brand ambassador. Remarkably, Kareena Kapoor, his stepmother, also endrosses the same company.

He is posing in the same outfit for the first two photos, a green T-shirt with a collar, front pockets, and printed rolled-up sleeves. He wears it with green sneakers and beige pants. In the first, he’s sitting cross-legged on a chair, in the second, he’s leaning on a wooden desk, grinning sweetly. Both scenes are inside.

The last two images are taken outside, where he is posing in front of a white cycle on the grass. He’s dressed in a white T-shirt with a collar, white shorts, maroon sneakers, and an identical cardigan loosely knotted over his neck. In both photos, he turns his head away from the camera and is wearing round-rimmed sunglasses for a close-up.

In the caption, Ibrahim wrote, Legacy? he’ll create of his own and added a prize emoji. He futher wrote that he is taking his first step with Puma India. As soon as he shared the pictures it quickly went viral. Along with his fans, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saba Ali Khan (Saif Ali Khan’s sister) and other actors welcomed him on Instagram.

With Ibrahim’s eagerly awaited debut, Instagram users couldn’t contain their enthusiasm. Taking to comment section a user wrote, Iggy on Instagram and added a eye heart emoji. Another wrote, finally the wait is over.  This morning is going well, remarked a third person.

However there were also users, who said that he exactly looks like his father Saif Ali Khan. While others welcomed him on the Gram.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Sarzameen, is the son of Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, Amrita Singh.
