Dream Girl 2 revolves around the life of Karam, a small-town boy trying to lead a normal life in Mathura. Falling in love with Pari, Karam’s double life leads to chaos. The film was initially scheduled for a July release but got postponed and will now hit the silver screen on August 25, as Ayushmann Khurrana shared in a note on Instagram, teasing fans about the upcoming film. The first instalment of the franchise, Dream Girl, hit the silver screen in 2019. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film starred Nushrratt Bharuccha and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.
