YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, has disclosed a near-drowning incident that occurred while he was swimming in Goa, necessitating rescue by an IPS officer and his IRS wife.

In an Instagram post shared yesterday, Ranveer recounted the harrowing experience, stating that he was in the open sea with his girlfriend when both were caught by an underwater current.

“We’re perfectly fine and well now. But yesterday at around 6:00 PM, my girlfriend and I needed to be rescued from a challenging situation,” he wrote in his Christmas Day post. Ranveer, who has been passionate about ocean swimming since childhood, described how on December 24, he and his girlfriend were unexpectedly swept away by a strong current.

After struggling for five to ten minutes and beginning to lose consciousness, he called for help. Fortunately, a family swimming nearby came to their aid.

“A casual, fun dip in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current that toppled both of us. The next thing we knew, we were both fighting to stay afloat,” he detailed.

“There was a moment during the ordeal where I swallowed a significant amount of water and started fading away a little bit. That’s when I decided to shout for help,” he said.

He expressed deep gratitude towards the rescuing family, noting, “Deep appreciation goes to the family of the IPS officer and IRS officer who saved us both.”

Allahbadia recognised the fragility of life and the divine protection he felt during the ordeal. As Christmas Day arrived, his emotions transformed from fear to deep gratitude. “We’re just overwhelmed with thankfulness for being alive,” he expressed, noting that the incident has significantly changed his outlook on life.

While Ranveer has chosen not to disclose his girlfriend’s identity, he shared pictures on Instagram that keep her face hidden. He reflected on the experience, stating, “This situation left us feeling both blank and grateful. We felt the protection of God throughout the incident.” He concluded his post with warm Christmas wishes to his followers.

Actor Imran Khan asked to leave India after CJP protest

Actor Imran Khan has been asked to leave India by October 28, days after participating in a protest called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Mumbai.

Actor Imran Khan, nephew of Bollywood star Aamir Khan, has been asked to leave India by the Mumbai Police, days after participating in a protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Mumbai.

According to the notice, the actor has been given until October 28 to leave the country. The development follows his participation in the demonstration, which brought the actor into the spotlight over his involvement in a political protest.

Imran Khan is believed to hold US citizenship and an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card rather than full Indian citizenship, according to the report.

What led to the notice against Imran Khan?

The notice came days after Imran Khan joined a protest called by the CJP in Mumbai. The group, described as a satirical political organisation, had called for the demonstration.

The actor’s participation was followed by action from the authorities, with the Mumbai Police directing him to leave India by the specified deadline.

The notice does not, by itself, mean that the actor has already left the country or has been deported. October 28 is the deadline mentioned for his departure.

Imran Khan and his citizenship status

Imran Khan is known for his work in Hindi films, including Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and Delhi Belly. He is also the nephew of actor Aamir Khan.

The report states that Imran Khan is believed to be a US citizen and hold an OCI card. OCI status does not confer Indian citizenship, although it provides eligible foreign citizens of Indian origin with specified privileges under Indian law.

The notice directing the actor to leave India follows his participation in the Mumbai protest. The reported development has brought attention to the intersection of immigration rules and the participation of foreign nationals in political demonstrations.

L Murugan

L Murugan has resigned from his position as Union Minister of State and his Rajya Sabha membership, saying he wants to return to grassroots politics and work towards strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.

Murugan, who held the portfolios of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, announced his decision in a post on X on Tuesday, October 13. He described his time in the Union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as a great honour and said he wanted to devote himself full-time to the party’s work in Tamil Nadu.

L Murugan says he wants to return to grassroots politics

In his post, Murugan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the Union Council of Ministers and highlighted his background as the son of daily-wage labourers.

He said he now wished to return to the grassroots, stand alongside BJP workers and dedicate his time to strengthening the party in Tamil Nadu before the next Lok Sabha elections.

Murugan’s stated objective is to help expand the BJP’s presence in the state and contribute to the party’s performance in the 2029 general elections.

Murugan’s resignation comes amid Cabinet reshuffle speculation

His decision comes amid speculation about a possible reshuffle in the Union government. The discussion gained momentum after several Rajya Sabha MPs and ministers, including Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, were not renominated.

However, the report does not establish that the speculation about a Cabinet reshuffle was the reason for Murugan’s resignation. His publicly stated reason was his desire to return to grassroots work and strengthen the BJP in Tamil Nadu.

Murugan thanks PM Modi for the opportunity to serve

Murugan described serving India and Tamil Nadu under Modi’s leadership as one of the greatest privileges of his life. He also referred to his journey from a family of daily-wage labourers to the Union Council of Ministers.

His announcement places his immediate political focus on Tamil Nadu, with the BJP’s preparations for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections forming a central part of his stated plans.
