Crew member dies on the set of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming movie Kabir Singh

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In an unfortunate incident, a crew member on the set of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming venture Kabir Singh died during the shooting of the film in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.

The incident took place on Thursday before the commencement of the shoot. The makers released statement this morning confirming about the incident.

As per media reports, a 35-year-old man named Ram Kumar, who was the generator operator, lost his life when the muffler he was wearing got stuck in the fan of a generator at a five-star hotel.

A police officer told media, “Ram was checking the oil in the generator when his muffler got caught in the fan of the generator and he got pulled in it as well.”

Ram Kumar got serious injuries on head and was taken to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where he was put on a ventilator for a few hours. But, he could not be saved.

Cine1 Studios and T-Series Films, the producers of the film, in a joint statement said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss. We are extending our deepest sympathies to the family of Ram Kumar. We are offering support to the family in the immediate aftermath of this tragic event.”

Ram belonged to Uttar Pradesh and is survived by three brothers and a sister.

Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. It’s being helmed by Sandeep Vanga, who also directed the Telugu version.

As per media reports, the film narrates the story of an alcoholic surgeon named Kabir Singh, who has anger management issues. He goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover gets married to someone else.

The movie, which also features Kiara Advani in the lead, is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Kishan Kumar, and Ashwini Varde.

The film went on floors last year on October 21 and will release on June 21, 2019.

He said his dream came true 2 years later in 2024 where he collaborated with Trivedi on the song Mann Dhaaga. He wrote that he had been listening to the entire Dev D Album carefully in 2012. And he kept listening to it on loop for 3 weeks. He continued to listen to Amit Trivedi compositions in Aisha, Kai Po Che, Udaan, Lootera, Queen, Fitoor continuously. He said he could not stop himself and became a big fan of the music director. He said he started dreaming of meeting his idol one day and collaborating with him.
