American actor Annie Wersching, best known for her roles in The Vampire Diaries and Timeless, passed away at the age of 45 on Monday. Annie had been battling cancer since 2020. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Freddie, 12, Oozie, 9, and Archie, 4.

Her death was announced via a GoFundMe account set up to raise funds for the actor’s family. A GoFundMe page has been created to help her husband, and kids to continue living lives that they know would make Annie proud.

Annie’s husband Stephen Full announced the news of his wife’s demise on social media. He wrote, There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for the adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall, he said. He further said As he drove their boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. He said he can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. I love you, little family.

Annie’s co-star from Marvel’s Runaways, Ever Carradine revealed that Annie was diagnosed with cancer Summer of 2020. She’s a private person by nature, and the diagnosis made her even more so. She wanted to protect her boys. She wanted to get better so she could continue working. And honestly, she just didn’t really want to talk about it. She wanted to live her life, on her terms, and be with her family, she added.

Annie continued to shoot even after being diagnosed with cancer. In 2009, she appeared in the seventh season of 24 as FBI special agent Renee Walker. Over the course of her two-decade career, she has appeared in shows like The Vampire Diaries, Marvel’s Runaways, The Rookie, and Star Trek: Picard.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

Khan’s career also included television work, with his credits spanning a wide range of acting roles over the years.

Mushtaq Khan dies at 56

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.

The newborn is the couple’s second daughter. Deepika and Ranveer became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.
