PM Narendra Modi biopic

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, starring Vivek Oberoi will release on May 24, a day after the results of the ongoing national election are declared, the producer of the film said.

The Election Commission had stopped the release of ‘PM Narendra Modi’ till the end of the ongoing national election on May 19.

“As a responsible citizen, we respect the law of the country. After a lot of discussions and given the curiosity and excitement about the film, we have decided to release the film immediately after the Lok Sabha election results (to be announced on May 23),” producer Sandip Ssingh said.

On April 10, a day before the Lok Sabha election began, the election body had said any such film ‘which has the potential to disturb the level playing field during the election should not be displayed in the electronic media’.

“We will now release our film on May 24, since the polling ends on May 19, we will only have four days to promote our film before its release”, Ssingh said.

“I hope now nobody will have any problem with the film and we are hoping for a smooth release,” he added.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Congress had alleged that the film’s release close to the national election violated the model code of conduct, saying it was designed to manipulate, influence and impress viewers and voters. The party had also pointed out that four BJP office-bearers were among the movie’s producers.

The film’s producers had challenged the film’s ban in the Supreme Court. The top court, however, refused to lift the ban and declined to interfere with the Election Commission’s order.

Filmmaker Omung Kumar’s PM Modi biopic, which also stars Boman Irani and Zarina Wahab, has generated much interest. A two-and-half minute trailer had over a million views shortly after it emerged online. The film traces the PM’s journey from his teens to the country’s top job.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
