Did Brahmastra promotions overshadow Shamshera’s box office collection?

Seems like a Ranbir Kapoor film stole all the limelight from a Ranbir Kapoor film.

Brahmastra VS Shamshera

Ranbir Kapoor has made a comeback on the big screen after four long years, with his historical drama titled Shamshera. The actor is being seen in a never-seen-avatar and has also played a double role in the film.

The first day-first show of Ranbir-Vaani and Sanjay Dutt starrer opened the gates for some good reviews and expert felt like the film is being received well by the audience but the first day collection showed a different side.

Shamshera is Yash Raj Films’ fourth consecutive film that is failing at the box office. However, anther fact that drew people towards was Ranbir’s name attached to Brahmastra. Be it the the posters, the first look, trailer and now the new Kesariya song, everything about Brahmastra has been catching the headlines and at the same time taking the buzz away from Shamshera.

Moreover, a section of audience still feels that Brahmastra is Ranbir’s comeback film and not the Sanjay Dutt starrer. So did Brahmastra overshadow Shamshera? or is there other reason for Shamshera’s fall at the box office.

Well, there is! Yash Raj Film’s started promoting their film just a month ago when they already knew that other film were catching the buzz. Being one of the oldest production houses in India, people expected YRF to have a better promotional campaign.

But by sticking to the same old traditional tactics the, the makers of the film failed to create a strong connect between the audience and the film. Moreover, in the era of OTT, filmmakers and production house have to be cautious enough to create and protect the impact of their film but getting clustered between ‘Theatre walli film’ or ‘Mobile pe dekhne walli film’.

But at the end of the day it was a Ranbir Kapoor film which stole all the limelight from a Ranbir Kapoor film.
