Enrique Iglesias to perform in Mumbai in October 2025

Published

on

Global pop sensation Enrique Iglesias is poised to perform in Mumbai this October, marking his first India concert in 13 years, reports said.

According to industry sources, a Gujarat-based event company is organizing the event, following Iglesias’ memorable 2012 tour that included shows in Pune, Gurugram, and Bengaluru.

However, the singer’s official website does not yet list Mumbai among his upcoming tour venues, and no formal confirmation has been issued, leaving fans eagerly awaiting clarity.

Iglesias, 50, has long expressed his affection for India, calling it one of his favorite destinations in past interviews. In 2019, he shared an Instagram throwback video from a previous visit, capturing a fan chasing his car to express admiration.

The clip, filmed by a Mexican TV channel, showed the fan praising Iglesias as a “rockstar” and declaring, “We love you so much here!” Iglesias captioned it, “India, one of my favorite places! Can’t wait to return! #Throwback.” His earlier India tours in 2004 and 2012 left a lasting impression, with fans drawn to his high-energy performances.

India’s live music scene has flourished recently, hosting international acts like Coldplay, Bryan Adams, Maroon 5, Akon, Tiësto, Alan Walker, Glass Animals, and Dua Lipa. With Guns N’ Roses scheduled to perform this weekend and Travis Scott slated for later in 2025, the country continues to attract global stars, reflecting its growing appeal as a concert hub.

In a related development, on May 10, 2025, Mumbai’s event industry leaders met to discuss infrastructure upgrades for large-scale concerts, prompted by the surge in international performances.

The meeting, backed by local authorities, focused on enhancing venue safety and ticketing systems to accommodate growing audiences. Organizers cited Iglesias’ potential return as an example of the need for robust planning, given his massive fanbase. The initiative aims to position Mumbai as a premier destination for global music events.

Should Iglesias’ concert materialize, it promises to be a highlight of India’s vibrant music calendar. Fans remain hopeful for an official announcement, eager to see the Latin pop icon light up Mumbai’s stage once more.
