Jailer Blockbuster: Rajnikanth film crosses Rs 300 crore at the box office

Rajinikanth’s latest film, Jailer, shows no intention of slowing down its box office momentum as it sets its sights on the impressive milestone of crossing the Rs 300 crore mark in worldwide gross earnings. The movie is poised to achieve this feat during the Independence Day period.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to highlight the extraordinary pace of Rajinikanth-Nelson’s successful collaboration, stating, While other stars typically take 3 to 4 weeks to accumulate a substantial lifetime gross, Jailer has managed to surpass these numbers within just 3 to 4 days in most states and international markets. On the fourth day of its release, the film amassed a remarkable Rs 222 crore globally, and it is anticipated that it will swiftly reach the Rs 300 crore milestone in a matter of days. Jailer is set to become the second-fastest Tamil film to achieve the Rs 300 crore landmark, with Rajinikanth’s own film 2.0 holding the top position by raking in Rs 400 crores within four days.

Amid a fervent fan frenzy, Jailer hit theaters on a Thursday, making a spectacular opening day collection of Rs 48.35 crore. The film maintained its momentum, garnering Rs 25.75 crore on Friday and an impressive Rs 35 crore on Saturday, according to trade aggregator Sacnilk. Day 4 saw an earning of Rs 38 crore, as reported on the website. The total Indian gross collection of the film is estimated at Rs 127 crore. Nelson Dilipkumar, whose previous film Beast failed to make a mark, has now silenced doubts with the success of Jailer.

In the face of competition from other films like Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar, Jailer continues to shine. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film also features a talented ensemble cast including Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Mohan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Yogi Babu, and Vasanth Ravi. Additionally, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff make significant cameo appearances in the movie.
