Anurag Kashyap says he regrets ignoring Sushant Singh Rajput’s request to collaborate 3 weeks before his demise
Kashyap even revealed that he had refused to speak to the Chhichhore actor because he was bitter about being ghosted by him.

Director Anurag Kashyap, who is renowned for voicing his opinion and not holding back, has made a startling revelation about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Recently, in an interview, the Gangs of Wasseypur director opened up about still feeling regret for ignoring Sushant’s request to collaborate three weeks before his death.
Kashyap even revealed that he had refused to speak to the Chhichhore actor because he was bitter about being ghosted by him. Not only this, he also opened up about his differences with Abhay Deol.
Speaking about his straightforward nature, he said, it took him a year and a half of sickness to realize a lot of things. He said he was so reactive that he would say things out of anger, out of reaction, to things he felt perturbed by. Adding further, he said that it took him time to realize that he was shouting in a room full of people shouting. Nobody’s listening to each other, not just to him. That’s what social media has become. And he stepped back, thinking about why he was reacting to this and what was bothering him.
Talking about his differences with Abhay Deol, he said a lot has changed, but he knows he has no filter. But it’s also made him realize that he doesn’t need to say everything. For example, that whole spat between him and Abhay. He narrated one incident when somebody was doing an article about why a very good actor like Abhay was no longer in the movies, and he spoke about his experiences, something that happened 13 years ago. He said he realized later that he didn’t need to say it publicly.
And the day the unfortunate incident happened to Sushant, he said he felt so bad. Three weeks prior to that, somebody was trying to reach out to him because he wanted to talk, and he said he refused to talk to him because the Kedarnath actor had once ghosted him. “You get pangs of guilt,” he added. Following that, he stated that he attempted to contact Abhay and apologized to him because he was upset about him speaking publicly about him.
