Filmmaker Karan Johar was highly impressed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Karan took to Instagram on Thursday and wrote an appreciation note note for the team of Jawan including Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee. He gave a shout out to Atlee for directing Jawan which has taken the box office by storm. He said it’s the kind of adrenalin rush film which has big emotion that Indian cinema is known for. Karan said he was blown away by the cinematic audacity of each frame.
He also praised actors Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra. He said he was mesmerized by Deepika Padukone’s cameo in Jawan. Karan heaped praises for Shah Rukh Khan and called him the emperor. Talking about Shah Rukh he said he is a an irreplacble force of nature and represents mega stardom. He said the people who had not watched Jawan did not know what they were missing out on. Jawan released in theatres on September 7. The Film has been unstoppable at the box office. Jawan has become the fastest Hindi Film to cross Rs 500 crores at the worldwide box office. It took just four days for the film to reach this milestone.
Jawan is the second release of Shah Rukh Khan this year after Pathaan, which also featured Deepika Padukone. Pathaan was also a blockbuster at the box office. Shah Rukh are waiting for him to see in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film is expected to release in theatres in December.
