Fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who is renowned for her flamboyant style, is making a comeback with the second season of her slice-of-life series. Netflix has dropped the new teaser of Masaba Masaba Season 2 and has also announced its release date. The upcoming series will see Masaba and Neena Gupta, who reprises the role of her mother, gearing up for a memorable ride.

Netflix, in a press conference, said that the mother-daughter duo will be seen tackling new paths in their careers, new and old love interests, competition, grief, and emotions. Season 2 sees these powerful women fix their crowns and reclaim the reins of their lives as they navigate through new terrain, it added.

When will Masaba Masaba Season 2 be released?

Masaba Masaba Season 2 will premiere on July 29. It stars Masaba Gupta and her mother, Neena Gupta, playing themselves.

The series is directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Viniyard Films. Masaba Masaba also stars Rytasha Rathore, Neil Bhoopalam, Kusha Kapila, Barkha Singh, Kareema Barry, Ram Kapoor, and Armaan Khera.

Masaba Masaba series revolves around the life of Masaba Gupta and her mother Neena Gupta. Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.
