Comedian Raju Srivastava passes away at 58

Popular as Gajodhar, Raju Srivastava was one of the most noted comedians in India.

Renowned Comedian, Raju Srivastava, who was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS after suffering a cardiac arrest while running on a treadmill in his gym, passes away on September 21st. The comedian had been struggling to get better after facing a cardiac arrest on August 10. Reports about his health condition improving had come surfaced recently but as fate would have it, the comedian has departed from the world, however, his legacy will live on.

Comedian and friend of Raju Srivastava, Sunil Pal, had previously informed about Raju’s health deteriorating and getting critical as his brain stopped functioning. He also urged his fans to pray for Raju’s good health as the matter was out of Doctor’s hands. He added that the comedian continues to be on ventilator support.

Earlier, Raju Srivastava’s family issued an official statement and asked everyone to not believe his death rumours and pray for his well-being. The statement said Raju Srivastava’s health was stable and doctors were treating him.

Popular as Gajodhar, Raju Srivastava was one of the most accomplished comedians in India. He gained wide recognition from the talent show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge where he ended up as the second runner-up. He then participated in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge-Champions and won the title of The King of Comedy.

In 2010, he triggered controversy after he received threatening calls from Pakistan for cracking jokes on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan.

The comedian started his career with cameo roles in Bollywood films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, and Bombay to Goa. He was also a part of Bigg Boss season 3 and was voted out after more than two months. He then participated in the reality show Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala.

Raju also shook a leg with his wife Shikha Srivastava in the dance reality show Nach Baliye season 6.

Apart from comedy and acting, Raju also tried his luck in politics. He joined the Samajwadi Party for the 2014 Lok Sabha election, however, returned the ticket citing no support from the local units of the party. Later, he joined the Bhartiya Janata Party and became a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Smriti Irani recalls her days as an actor, says was accused of faking a miscarriage

Former actor and Union Minister Smriti Irani recently recalled her days as an actor and opened up about the toxic working conditions of the TV industry.

In a recent interview, Irani said she was called to shoot for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi hours after he suffered a miscarriage. She also said her co-actor was accused of her faking it following which she had to show medical papers to producer Ekta Kapoor.

The BJP leader further opened up and said she was unaware of her pregnancy and felt unwell on the sets. However, she was not allowed to leave for home early and was asked to shoot till the evening following which she started to bleed.

She then asked the auto driver to take her to the hospital where a nurse asked her for an autograph before admitting her.

Irani went on and said she was called to shoot despite telling the makers about her miscarriage. She returned to work a day after being in a hospital and was asked for a medical certificate.

Smriti Irani started her career with modelling and also participated in Miss India 1998. Following her beauty pageant attempt, she appeared in a music video Boliyan with Mika Singh.

The former actor started her acting career in 2000 with the TV show Aatish and Hum Hain Kal Aaj Aur Kal on Star Plus. However, her breakthrough performance was Tulsi in Kynki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in Ekta Kapoor’s production.

The role served her several accolades including ITA Award for Best Actress Popular and four Indian Telly Awards. Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi ran for eight long years.

Further, after an argument with Ekta Kapoor, Irani left the show in June 2007 and was replaced by Gautami Kapoor. After her reconciliation with the producer, she made a comeback in May 2008 in a special episode.

RRR fever continues, Japanese woman designs RRR comic for son, video goes viral | WATCH

As per the reports, the Japanese woman was compelled to do so as she thought her 7-year-old son would find it tough to watch the film in one go, so she turned it into a children’s storybook.

As S.S Rajamouli’s helmed film continues to claim hearts and accolades, a video surfaced on the internet where a woman can be seen flipping through the comic adapted from the film. The video, after surfacing on the on internet, subsequently went viral.

In the video, as the woman flips through the book, one can see the story of the film being told with the help of the Japanese language, as well as the caricatures of the two protagonists who starred in the film.

The video also shows an iconic cover of the comic which depicts the gist of the film in the most artistic way.

After the video of the woman rifling through the storybook went viral, many users joined hands to laud the woman for her creativity and artistic imagination. One user wrote and shower gratitude while writing that this made them cry. The user further thanked the people from other countries for loving the film this much and by extension, loving India.

One user praised the mother and wrote that one of the many definitions of a mother is that a mother is someone who can take endless obstacles for her loved ones.

One user wrote and said and called it to be an RRR manga which is a style of comic book that is loved by many in the country. One user showed gratitude towards the country and thanked the Japanese woman for endorsing the film in their culture as well.

One user also termed the story book as beautiful and highlight the thought and hard work put into it just for the sake of their love for RRR.

The infamous love relationship between conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and actor Jacqueline Fernandez is not hidden, especially, after their private pictures circulated on social media last year. He claimed that he is in love with the actor, however, she denied it.

Chandrasekhar is currently in Tihar Jail and wrote a loving letter to his ladylove. The letter was released on Saturday wherein the conman called Fernandez his Bomma and claimed that he missed her a ton on his birthday.

He further wrote he is at a loss for words and cannot explain how much he missed her energy around him and she need not prove her love for him.

The letter further read that Jacqueline and her love are the best gift for him which is priceless. Concludingly, he thanked the actor for giving him her heart and his friends and supporters for extending birthday wishes.

Earlier this month, on the occasion of Holi, Sukhesh had sent a handwritten note to Jacqueline. Referring to her as the most fantastic human, he wished for Fernandez’s presence around her. He further extended Holi’s wishes to her and promised to bring back colours that faded or disappeared.

Jacqueline Fernandez was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate last year in connection with Rs 200 crore money laundering case. Reports said the actor had received several expensive gifts like six Persian cats, luxury cars, bags, dresses, and others from the conman.

Apart from her, Nora Fatehi was also summoned by the ED and was questioned multiple times.

Earlier, Sukesh Chandrasekhar also accused Fatehi of being jealous of Fernandez and manipulating her to end relations with him. He released a statement from Tihar Jail and alleged that the Moroccan actor couldn’t digest the fact that he chose Fernandez over her and also called used to call her more than a ten times a day.
