Bigg Boss fans eagerly wait for Weekend Ka Vaar episodes as Salman Khan joins contestants in the house for some masti, dhamaal, and vaar. But now, as per the reports, Karan Johar will replace the Dabangg actor as a host for a few episodes.

This move came after Salman Khan was diagnosed with dengue. He is down with a fever and has been advised by the doctors to take complete rest for a few weeks.

Earlier, there were reports that Karan Johar, along with Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan, would join Salman Khan for a Diwali special episode. But due to Salman’s health issue, the filmmaker will step into Salman’s shoes and host Bigg Boss 16 till the actor recovers.

According to reports, Salman has avoided attending any Diwali celebrations because of his health. As of now, Salman seems to be recovering well and he also visited the set of his film for a brief period.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan will resume shooting for his upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also stars Shehnaaz Gill, Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal, and others in supporting roles. The reports state he will be back on the sets on October 25 and resume shooting.

The sources close to the actor told the media that Salman is keen to return to the set because a huge set is standing and he wants to finish the schedule quickly.

Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be released on Eid 2023 and Tiger 3 is expected to hit theatres on Diwali 2023.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.
