Taliban entered Kabul and has taken full control of Afghanistan on Sunday. The militant group after taking control over the presidential palace said that war is over now and they will soon declare a new Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday fled the country as the militant surgent group took control over Afghanistan. According to reports, Mullah Abdal Ghani Baradar is likely to become the new President of the country.

Furthermore, the Kabul-Delhi Air India flight (AI-244) has returned to India after evacuating 129 passengers. The flight left on Sunday to Kabul and returned the same day at 7.45 pm. However, there is another Delhi-Kabul flight that will fly today, the government has said that there is no plan to cancel this flight.

Talking about the timings of this flight, earlier it was supposed to take off on Monday at 8.30 pm, now it will fly at 12.30 pm.

The government sources told news agency ANI that Air India will put two aircraft on standby for emergency evacuations from Kabul. The preparation of the set crew for evacuating people from Kabul has also been done. Adding further to it, the operation will take from Kabul to New Delhi.

Talking about the air traffic and flights, the United States has said that they will take control of the air traffic of Kabul airport and will provide the facility to the passengers who are trying to depart from the country.

Some of the major airlines have already rerouted the flights so that they can avoid the airspace and air traffic in the country. United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, among other airlines said that they were not using the country’s airspace.

Apart from this, Emirates has cancelled all its flights to Kabul until further notice.

Some of the Afghanistan people have also taken refuge in India. Not only civilians, lawmakers have also turned to India to take refuge. The names that have fled from Afghanistan to take refuge in India are- MP Abdul Qadir Zazai, Abdul Aziz Hakimi, MP from Parwan, Mohamamd Khan, Senator Engineer; Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal, former finance minister, among others.

Responding to the Prime Minister on social media platform X, Vijay said that his party’s focus would remain on public welfare and development. He emphasised that governance should rise above political differences and aim at improving the lives of the people.
