In unfortunate news, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia passed away today in the morning. On September 3, she got admitted to an ICU in Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital.

Akshay Kumar pens an emotional note on after his mother’s demise:

The actor shared the news of his mother’s demise and penned an emotional note on Twitter. “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti”, he tweeted.

Akshay Kumar, who was shooting for his film Cinderella in London, flew back to Mumbai on Monday after his mother got admitted to ICU. The next day, he took to Twitter and expressed his gratitude to his fans and friends for praying for his mother’s health.

Taking it to Twitter, he expressed, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.”

Like every child, Akshay is also closely attached to his mother. On Mother’s Day, the actor had shared a special post. He posted a happy picture and had written, “Maa warga koi nahi #MothersDay (There’s no one like mom).”

For those who don’t know, Aruna Bhatia was a co-partner at Hari Om Productions. She had produced several films of Akshay Kumar including Rustom, Patiala House, Singh Is King, Airlift, Mission Mangal, and others.
