Aamir Khan with his girlfriend Gauri Spratt

Bollywood icon Aamir Khan revealed that his long-cherished dream project, Mahabharata, might mark the culmination of his illustrious career.

Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Khan shared that after the release of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, he intends to focus entirely on bringing the epic Indian saga to the screen.

“Mahabharata is vast—layered with emotion, grandeur, and every human experience. It’s a story I’ve held close for years, yearning to translate it into cinema,” he said. When probed about whether it could be his last film, Khan reflected, “After this, I might feel I’ve said all I needed to.”

Casting remains undecided, with Khan open to acting in the film but prioritizing suitability for each role over his own involvement.

The project, still in its infancy, promises to be the grandest of Khan’s career, potentially surpassing his past blockbusters in scale and impact. If realized, it could redefine Indian cinema’s approach to mythological storytelling, blending Aamir’s perfectionist vision with cutting-edge production.
