18-year-old Bihar girl shoots video of her father raping her, seeks justice on social media

Reports said the 50-year-old accused has been booked for raping his daughter after the video went viral on the internet.

In yet another shameful incident, an 18-year-old girl was raped by her father in the Samstipur district of Bihar. The victim shot a video of the incident and shared it on social media demanding justice.

Reports said the 50-year-old accused has been booked for raping his daughter after the video went viral on the internet. The accused is a teacher by profession and hails from Rosera in Smastipur. His daughter shot a video of him raping her and shared it and accused him of raping and threatening her.

Speaking to India Today, Rosera subdivision DSP Sahiyar Akhtar said the police registered an FIR based on the daughter’s complaint and arrested the accused. Akhtar also informed that other accused are being ascertained based on the statement and the police are also conducting raids.

Reports further said the victim’s mother did not object to the assault and was pressured by the maternal uncle to be quiet about the incident.

This is not the first time when such a horrifying incident came to light. A week ago, a special court on Friday pronounced a death sentence on a 49-year-old man for sexually assaulting his daughter. During the investigation, the victim revealed that her father raped her since she was seven years old and continued even after she hit puberty. Reports said that the victim became pregnant in 2019 and was forced to undergo an abortion.

COVID-19: India dips to lowest tally since April 2020, active cases also decrease

The news of relief has come to light in the country today regarding Corona infection. India touched to the lowest numbers of Covid-19 cases after April 2020. The lowest number of corona cases have been reported today.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday i.e. November 29, only 215 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. At the same time, a patient also died during this period. Apart from this, the number of active patients in the country has come down to 4,982. However, total 5,30,615 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.

Recovery rate rises to 98.80 percent

According to the ministry of Health, active cases in the country are now only 0.01 percent of the total infections, while the recovery rate has increased to 98.80 percent. A decrease of 141 has been registered in active cases in a span of 24 hours. The number of people who recovered from the disease has increased to 4,41,36,471, while the death rate was recorded at 1.19 percent.

We are not responsible for the death due to Corona vaccine: Government of India

The Central Government has refused to take any responsibility regarding the alleged deaths due to Corona vaccination. In an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, the Center said that it has full sympathy for the deceased and their families, but cannot be held responsible for the pandemic or for any kind of adverse effect of the vaccine.

Indians need to be alert as Covid cases rapidly increased in China

An alert has also been issued in India as 40,000 cases are reported daily in the neighboring country of China. Moreover, Indians traveling to Port Blair in Andaman-Nicobar Island or Leh in Ladakh next month on Christmas or New Year will have to carry the RT-PCR test report.

A video from Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen has come to the fore where a school principal of Navodaya Vidyalaya can be heard claiming that BR Ambedkar didn’t write the constitution while addressing the assembly of students of his school. The principal has been identified as Jitendra Mishra of Navodaya Vidyalaya.

In the video, the Principal can be seen addressing the student reportedly on Constitution day and imparting his knowledge about the origin story of the constitution. Later in the video, the principal can be heard asking his students about who wrote the constitution after which the student can be heard replying with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s name.

The principal then went on to say that the saying that Dr. Ambedkar wrote the constitution is wrong and also added that Dr. Ambedkar didn’t even write one line in the constitution. The man then replaces the name of Ambedkar as the father of the constitution and said that the constitution was written by Prem Behari Narain Raizada.

Twitter reaction

After the video went viral, many users came forward to remark on the incident as one user came forward and wrote that now history can neither be suppressed nor changed despite how hard these people try, implying that there is an attempt and rewriting history and discrediting certain people.

Another user added to the conversation and trenchantly targeted the principal by stating that his thinking reeks of Manusmriti, a book that talks about practicing casteism and more. The user also urged that the authorities should be penalised for his remark.

The elections for the Municipal Corporations of India are approaching but there are a majority of people who aren’t aware of what these elections are basically for and WhatsApp has played a major role in this. People make opinions by seeing stuff on social media without even verifying it.

Whatsapp has turned out to be the most favoured platform for political propaganda. There are a huge number of groups that target millions of WhatsApp users with political messaging. People are bringing national issues to vote for a party in MCD elections.

One such video is doing rounds on Twitter, where a man is saying that he will vote for the BJP because the party has scrapped Article 370 and is creating Ram Mandir. The irony is that the man doesn’t even know what Article 370 is. When the reporter informs him that the aim of the MCD elections is to raise people’s issues such as the working of street lights or cleanliness in the area. He replied he will still vote for BJP even after street lights haven’t been fixed and trash is spread on the road.

The video is spreading like wildfire on social media. They feel such a social platform hacks people’s minds. People do not know what is good for them. One of the users said getting information from social media is okay, but after the person gets the information, they should verify it and think about it.

Another user commented that others are suffering because of such people. Yet another wrote everyone is stung by the nationalism bug.

Meanwhile, the voting for the MCD elections will be held on December 4, and the counting of votes will be done on December 7.
