The victim, a Class 7 student, was harassed over the phone and blackmailed by her friend father, identified as Raghavendra Singh Chauhan, forcing the minor girl to take such an extreme step, the family of the deceased has alleged.
The victim’s father, in his complaint to the police, has alleged that Chauhan to have obscene talks with her daughter over the phone and the girl had complained about the issue to the family many times in the past.

On March 13, the minor girl allegedly committed suicide at her home in Etmadpur town of Agra while her parents were away.

In a bizarre incident, a motorcycle thief—allegedly in fear of being slain by the police in an encounter— walked to a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar along with a placard asking for forgiveness from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and surrendered to the cops on Wednesday.
According to reports, the bike thief, identified as Ankur alias Raja, surrendered at the Mansoorpur police station in UP’s Muzaffarnagar. Ankur was carrying a placard which read: “Yogi ji maaf karna galti mare se ho gai (Please forgive me Yogi Ji, I made a mistake).”
Giving details about the incident, Mansoorpur Station House Officer (SHO) Rojant Tyagi said the accused arrived at the police station on Wednesday morning along with the village chief and members of his family fearing an encounter.
He said that Ankur—a known member of a gang of motorcycle thieves—surrendered while also seeking forgiveness from CM Yogi Adityanath and pledged to never commit any crime again.

SHO Tyagi said that Ankur—who was wanted in several cases, including attempted murder (IPC section 307) and loot (IPC section 390)—has been detained and sent to jail, awaiting trial, adding that further investigation against him is underway.
The incident comes a day after a gunfight between Ankur’s gang and the police led to the arrest of two of his accomplices while another managed to flee.
DSP Ravishankar Mishra of the UP Police said that two members of the notorious gang were nabbed while one managed to slip away. He said that the police recovered three stolen motorcycles and illegal weapons from the accused gang member.
A case has been registered against them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and further investigation is underway, the official said.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has gained notoriety for slaying wanted criminals in encounters, instead of arresting them, since Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his BJP regime took charge of the state.
