Haryana man calls girlfriend from Canada to Sonipat, kills and buries body in farmhouse
Police on Wednesday recovered the skeleton remains of Monika from the 10 feet deep pit in Sunil’s farmhouse after almost nine months.

A chilling incident took place in Haryana’s Sonipat after a man allegedly shot dead his girlfriend after calling her from Canada. The accused even buried her girlfriend’s body in a farmhouse in June last year which has now been recovered by police officials.
According to the reports, the accused, identified as Monika, called his girlfriend, Monika, from Canada on January 22. Before visiting her boyfriend’s place in Sonipat, she went to meet her parents in Rohtak.
On not returning for a few days, Monika’s parents filed a missing complaint of their daughter at the Ganaur Police Station. However, the police failed to solve the case so they handed it to Bhiwani CIA-2.

On April 2, Sunil was apprehended by the Bhiwani Crime Branch team in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh for abducting and killing Monika. During the interrogation, Sunil confessed to his crime that he had killed Monika and buried her body in a farmhouse in June 2022 under the influence of alcohol.
Police on Wednesday recovered the skeleton remains of Monika from the 10 feet deep pit in Sunil’s farmhouse after almost nine months.
Police have now apprehended Sunil and are trying to ascertain the reason behind this gruesome killing. Police also said that the accused has several cases registered against him, including an attempt to murder.
Despite Monika’s aunt filing a kidnapping case against Sunil at Ganaur police station in Sonipat on November 2022, the police failed to take any action. It was only after Monika’s relatives brought up the matter to the attention of the Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij that the case was investigated.

Manipur violence: Photos showing bodies of two missing students surface online, government says case handed over to CBI
The government also assured the public that swift and decisive action will be taken against all those involved in the kidnapping and killing of the students

In another harrowing incident, photos of the bodies of a man apparently decapitated and a girl who had been missing since July, surfaced online after a ban on mobile internet was lifted in violence-hit northeastern state Manipur over the weekend.
Issuing a statement, Manipur chief minister’s secretariat affirmed that the photos were of Phijam Hemjit (20) and Hijam Linthoinggambi (17), both belonging to the Meitei community from Imphal. The statement added that they had gone missing on July 6 and remained untraced even as security agencies initiated search operations for them and locals took to the street seeking their whereabouts.
According to reports, a photo of the two students showed them sitting on the ground that appears to be a forest with two armed men in the background. Another photo showed them lying on the ground apparently after being gunned down. Reports further state that the head of the man appeared to be missing. The photos were taken on July 8, two days after the two students went missing.
The statement issued by the state government read that it may be noted that this case has already been handed over to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), as per the wishes of the people of the state. It mentioned that the police and central security agencies were investigating the case and search operations was carried out to nab those who murdered the two students.
In addition, the government also assured the public that swift and decisive action will be taken against all those involved in the kidnapping and killing of Phijam Hemjit and Hijam Linthoingambi.
The statement underlined that the government was committed to ensuring justice for the murdered students and severe punishment on any perpetrators found responsible for this heinous crime. It further urged the public to exercise restraint and let the authorities handle the ongoing investigation.

Tiger death toll reaches 10 in Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu
The death of the 10 tigers including 6 cubs has caused great controversy. The enviornmentalists are demanding a high level inquiry into the ongoing deaths of tiger in Mudumalai, a tiger reserve.

Ten tigers have died over 35 days in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu according to the National Tigers Commission. A team of National Tiger Commission crime Branch went to Ooty to investigate the matter. The team included Central Forest Animal Research Centre Senior Scientist Ramesh Krishna Murthy, Central Forest Animal Crime Prevention Unit South Zone Director Kripa Shankar and Inspector General Murali Kumar.
The death of the 10 tigers including 6 cubs has caused great controversy. The enviornmentalists are demanding a high level inquiry into the ongoing deaths of tiger in Mudumalai, a tiger reserve. The forest department has not been able to find the two mother tigresses of the dead tiger cubs.
As the mother tiger never leaves her cubs more than 200 metres away. An investigation is being conducted. It may be possible the dead tigers may have been hunted. The National tigers Commission crime Branch will investigate the reason for the tiger deaths IN the Nilgiri district forrest area.
After the investigation is over, the team will visit the Chinna Coonoor area. Four tiger cubs had previously died in the area. A tiger cub was found dead in the sgur forest area in China Coonoor in the Nilgiris on September 19. On examining the dead cub the forest veterinarian of Mudumalai Tiger Reserve said he was severely dehydrated.
According to the Forest Secretary Supriya Sahu the cub could not be saved despite restless effort of the team. On November 14 information of the tiger cub’s movement was recieved in the Chinnacoonoor area of Nilgiris.
Immediately a team along with trackers from Muddumalai tiger reserve reserve camped in the region and started monitoring. During the monitoring process it was found there are four cubs in the region. A female tiger was seen by the villagers last month. The cubs were monitored regularly as they thought the cubs might be in the nearby areas.
