The state’s rulling TMC has a vast lead over its nearest rivals, the BJP and the Left, which are leading in three wards each. The Congress is leading in just two wards.

Omicron crosses 200-mark in India, Maharashtra, Delhi report highest number of cases

Omicron has crossed the 200-mark in India while 77 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospitals, the Health Minister said on Tuesday. Maharashtra and Delhi have reported the highest number of cases of the new variant 54 followed by Telangana (20), Karnataka (19), Rajasthan (18), Kerala (15) and Gujarat (14).

Banks in India to remain closed for another 6 days before 2021 ends

Private and public sector banks in India will remain closed another six days before the beginning of 2022. A total of 12 bank holidays this month including Christmas and New Year.

TMC wins 7, leads on 108 in Kolkata Municipal Corporation Polls

Trinamool Congress (TMC) is currently leading in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Elections. TMC has won 7 seats and is leading on 108. BJP is leading on 4, followed by CPI(M) on 2, Congress on 2, Independent 3, as per official trends by West Bengal State Election Commission. The party members have already started the celebrations across the city.

India reports 5,326 fresh Covid-19 cases, 453 deaths in last 24 hours

India has reported 5,326 new Covid-19 cases, 8,043 recoveries and 453 deaths in the last 24 hours. Today’s daily spike in the cases is 19 per cent lower than yesterday’s spike of cases. The active cases in the country now stand at 79,097 which is the lowest in 572 days.

School cab driver tied to pole, beaten for allegedly molesting and flashing girls in Karnataka

The Sakkarayapattana police police while talking to the press informed the media that the accused man used to provide pick-and-drop services to the teachers and the school children.

A video has come to light from Karnataka’s Sakkarayapattana where the locals tied a man to the pole and delivered their own justice for allegedly molesting and flashing girls. The man, who is a cab driver at a local school, was allegedly molesting school girls and even the teachers.

After being fed up of the cab driver’s ways, the locals of the area tied him up to a pole and beat him up to serve justice. In the video, the people can be seen crowding the cab driver and questioning him for his acts.

The video also shows the cab driver covering his face away out of shame, while the crowd can be seen enraged at the man.

Police action

The Sakkarayapattana police police while talking to the press informed the media that the accused man used to provide pick-and-drop services to the teachers and the school children. The police authorities further confirmed that the man has accepted his crime of abusing school girls and teachers in the area.

Another incident

Another incident of a similar nature came to light from Kerala’s Kollam where a school teacher was accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl. According to reports, the school girl was allegedly molested by her teacher while the teacher was dropping her home after a youth festival organized by the school authorities.

The principal of the school and two other teachers of the higher secondary school for forcing the parents of the teacher to drop the case against the school teacher. The teacher had offered the drop the girl home on a motorcycle after which the teacher molested her on her way back.

The police took cognizance of the issue and filled a complaint and charged the perpetrators with the POCSO act, said reports.

Due school fees causes fight between parent and school clerk in Ludhiana, video viral | Watch

One parent can be seen unleashing an attack on the school clerk as they repeatedly slapped the clerk while grabbing him by his collar.

A video has come to the fore from Punjab’s Ludhiana where a fight broke out between parents and a school clerk while discussing outstanding school fees. According to reports, the fight transpired when the school authorities were talking to the parents about pending school fees which amounted to 2.2 lakhs.

The incident of the fight was caught on a CCTV camera installed inside the premises of the school.

In the video, the parents and the school authorities can be seen sitting and talking about the outstanding school fee. The parents can be seen talking to the school clerk in a normal manner after which, the scenarios changed as the parent ended up slapping the clerk after he said something.

One parent can be seen unleashing an attack on the school clerk as they repeatedly slapped the clerk while grabbing him by his collar. Another school official can also be seen trying to stop the parents from assaulting the school clerk, however, the parent stuck to his ways and continued the assault. The parent could also be seen trying to threaten the man and being in an angry state.

Another incident

Another incident of a similar nature came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli where a fight was triggered between two female teachers. In the video, one teacher can be seen stepping up to the other teacher after one threatened another. As a response to stepping up, the second teacher shoved the woman back after which the fight ended up in fisticuffs.

One of the teacher after being slapped can also be seen crying as a result of the fight. The Raebareli Police also took cognizance of the matter and filled a case in the matter according to reports.

Shraddha murder case: Court remands Aaftab Poonawala to 13-day judicial custody

The Saket Court in Delhi has sent Aaftab Amin Poonawala, the accused of Shraddha Walkar murder, to judicial custody for 13 days.

Earlier Aftab was taken to Ambedkar Hospital. He was produced in a Delhi court through video conferencing from the hospital itself. Special CP Law and Order Sagarpreet Hooda, Delhi Police had appealed to the Magistrate that the production of the accused should be done from the hospital itself.

There is a new revelation in the Shraddha murder case. According to reports, accused Aftab had dated a doctor after Shraddha’s murder. He met this girl through the dating app Bumble and invited her to his house when Shraddha’s body parts were kept in the fridge. Delhi Police have identified that girl. She is a psychologist by profession. Aaftab and Shraddha had also met on the Bumble app.

Bones found in forest were of Shraddha

Important evidence has been found against Aaftab in the Shraddha murder case. According to reports, forensic investigation has revealed that the bones recovered from the forest belong to Shraddha. The DNA found in bones has matched with Shraddha’s father. Now the police are waiting for the reports. Special CP (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda said that the DNA test report (of the victim’s parts) has not been received yet.

Here, Shraddha’s father Vikas Walker has demanded a CBI inquiry. During an interview with a news channel, he said – Aftab is still misleading the police and there should be a CBI inquiry into the matter. He kept blackmailing Shraddha continuously and kept threatening her. He used to tell Shraddha in clear words that he would kill her.

Aftab’s family also involved in the murder, Shraddha’s father alleges

Shraddha’s father has alleged that Aftab’s family is also involved in his daughter’s murder. Aaftab’s parents were aware of his antics. They knew that Aaftab used to fight with Shraddha. They should have informed me about this but nothing happened, he added.

Shraddha was murdered on May 18

According to the Delhi Police, 28-year-old Aaftab had murdered 27-year-old Shraddha on May 18. Both were in a live-in relationship. Aftab had cut Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces. Bought a 300 liter fridge to keep them. He used to go to the forest every night at 2 am for 18 days to throw the pieces of the dead body.
