Madame Tussauds to open at Noida's DLF mall

London-origin Madame Tussauds, which holds the 200 years of history is all set to open a centre in Noida at DLF mall. Notably, it is going to be the first since the one in Delhi’s Connaught Place closed down during the pandemic.

According to reports, Madamme Tussauds India, the entertainment facility will come up in a 16,000 sq ft area on the fourth floor of the mall. It is estimated that it will be launched in early June, said, the organisers.

The reports also say that the centre will house around 50 wax statues of renowned personalities, actors, politicians and celebrities across the fields of history, entertainment, sports and music.

Anshul Jain, general manager of Merlin Entertainments which manages Madame Tussauds India said that visitors will be able to give a speech with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, take a selfie with Kim Kardashian, they can also test their bowling skills and technique with cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli and they can also dance with Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Moreover, the kids can also have a gala time with their favourite cartoon characters- Motu-Patlu, among others.

What will be the wax statues there?

Madame Tussauds which is going to be in Noida will have famous personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cricketer Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

How wax statues are made?

The wax statues are made expertise of sculptors and it takes an artist a minimum of 12 weeks during that time they document 500 precise body measurements, they even insert real hair strand by strand and apply countless layers of paints to build up the skin tones and more.

Madame Tussauds is a London-origin museum chain that was first opened in 1835.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

Khan’s career also included television work, with his credits spanning a wide range of acting roles over the years.

Mushtaq Khan dies at 56

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.

Mushtaq Khan was 56. IMDb lists his date of birth as December 31, 1969.

The newborn is the couple’s second daughter. Deepika and Ranveer became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.

Just a day before the announcement, Deepika Padukone visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple with Ranveer Singh and his parents.
