NEET UG, PG Counselling 2021 to start soon, check instructions before applying
The MCC has modified its counselling strategy in a number of ways. NEET Counselling for UG and PG students will be administered in four phases starting this year. The rounds in which counselling will be done are AIQ round 1, AIQ round 2, AIQ mop-up round, and AIQ stray vacancy round.

The Supreme Court of India issued its decision in the OBC and EWS reservation dispute today, allowing the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to start the NEET UG and NEET PG 2021 counselling procedure. This case put the NEET PG and UG counselling on hold.
Following the judgement, the MCC is anticipated to issue a counselling announcement on mcc.nic.in as soon as possible.
Before applying for All India NEET Counselling, these things should be kept in mind. Therefore, Undergraduates and Postgraduates medical candidates should know these major things about NEET Counselling. Here they are:
- Prepare the following papers before registering for NEET counselling in 2021: Aadhar Card, NEET 2021 admit card, one online application form copy, mark sheet of NEET 2021, candidate’s nationality certificate, marks sheet of Class 12th, for the proof of age applicants, will have to bring Class 10th certificate.
- According to the Supreme Court’s judgement on NEET counselling, 27percent total of all India quota seats will be allocated for candidates from the Other Backward Caste (OBC) group. The EWS category will be reserved for 10 per cent of the seats. Also, the live updates are available on the website. Candidates can check from there.
- The MCC has modified its counselling strategy in a number of ways. NEET Counselling for UG and PG students will be administered in four phases starting this year. The rounds in which counselling will be done are AIQ round 1, AIQ round 2, AIQ mop-up round, and AIQ stray vacancy round. Previously, mop-up and further rounds were only available to central and recognized institutions.
- Seats that are left behind after round 2 will not be returned to the states. Instead, mop-up and stray vacancy rounds will be used to fill those seats. This is due to the fact that, unlike past years, MCC will hold NEET mop-up and errant vacancy rounds for both central and recognized university seats, as well as state seats under the all-India quota.
- For central institutions, the counselling system will be the same as it was in past years. The proposed approach system of online four rounds of counselling will be in accordance with the current counselling regulations (including fees and security deposit) for Central Institutes/Universities, the Medical CounsellingCommittee (MCC) stated.

Rae Bareli schoolgirl sweeps floor in school, social media furious at child labour
The photograph is said to be from a government school in Janeva Katra village (Rae Bareli). Children don’t go to schools to sweep the classroom floor instead learn about the world through the syllabus. It is but obvious that the school staffer who had the girl sweep the floor is due for some harsh words and some punishment.

With voters in Karnataka turning away from the BJP in the recent Assembly elections, the apathy shown in schools can snowball into a challenge for the Uttar Pradesh government. In the most recent incident, a schoolgirl from Rae Bareli was seen sweeping the floor in a school instead of studying.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-vaunted Beti Padhao Beti Bachao scheme has often been ridiculed for the lax implementation of such lofty schemes on the ground in a state that has not turned away from its feudal, casteist past. The double-engine sarkar’s achievements are thus slighted by such incidents. As a result, the photo has gone viral on Twitter.
On social media, there is a free-for-all in responses and comments to the picture. One user said such a condition will always remain until and unless someone has the courage to raise their voices against the authorities concerned. Another person commented that such an issue should be raised in the gram panchayat since non-availability of cleaning staff is a local issue. Another man suggested that the school teacher or master teaching in the school should let their own children be taught in the same school so that conditions improve.
Although the government is riding high on the success of Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao, the image tells a different story altogether. Instead of books, these children are being handed over brooms and set to work.
Recently, another video had surfaced online showing a girl student sweeping the floor in school uniform.
