A video of the Dalit woman who accused Sonia Gandhi’s personal secretary PP Madhavan of rape is doing rounds on the internet.

The video went viral on Twitter on Monday wherein the woman claimed that she is receiving threats and was being asked to dismiss the case. She started by saying that she had no choice but to share the video and demand justice publicly.

She filed an FIR against PP Madhavan at Uttam Nagar, Delhi following which received multiple threats demanding she takes her case back, the victim continued. She further said that she lost her faith in the police and urged them to help her.

After the video of the victim demanding justice went viral, Twitter users are now demanding the arrest of PP Madhavan. One user demanded stringent action against Madhavan.

Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s personal secretary PP Madhavan was booked for raping and threatening a Dalit woman in June this year.

Reports say the 26-year-old victim was promised a job and marriage by Madhavan. An FIR was filed against Madhavan under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code at Uttam Nagar Police Station, Delhi on June 25.

The victim had alleged that she was sexually harassed by Madhavan on multiple occasions and was taken to an isolated location near the Uttam Nagar metro station. The accused also forced himself on the victim in his car.

In her complaint, the victim also revealed that the 71-year-old accused took her to a flat in Sunday Nagar and forced himself on her without consent.

Following the case, PP Madhavan said the FIR was filed in a pre-planned manner to settle a political agenda. He also called the case devoid of merit, reports said. Some reports also said the woman did not know that Madhavan was married.

5 students sustain stab injuries after clash breaks out between two school groups in Delhi's Dayalpur, 6 arrested

A horrific incident has come to light from Delhi’s Dayalpur area where at least five students of Karawal Nagar School sustained stab injuries after a clash broke out between two school groups in northeast Delhi’s Dayalpur area.

The Delhi Police have so far arrested six students and registered a case against them in connection with the case.

According to the reports, a scuffle broke out between the students of Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School, Karawal Nagar and Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Khajuri Khas on Monday at 3:10 pm. The two groups attacked each other with knives after a quarrel, in which five students of Karawal Nagar School were injured.

The students were rushed to the GTB Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

The Delhi Police said one of the apprehended students disclosed that 3 days ago, while he was riding his motorcycle near the Dayalpur bus stand, some students stopped him and bullied him.

He claims that they questioned him about his school and the reason he was riding the motorbike so close to their school. They beat him up when he resisted their bullying. The student gathered his friends and attacked the other group in retaliation.

The boy was then shifted to Jai Prakash Hospital. After first aid, he gathered his friends and they all planned revenge. The Delhi Police said there is no communal angle in this incident. He said further investigation into the matter is underway.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has honored the Oscar-winning film by rewarding director Kartiki Gonsalves Rs 1 crore. The documentary film had been on the receiving end of a lot of praise after it won Oscar for the Best Documentary Short in 2023.

As per the reports, on Tuesday, Kartiki Gonsalves met with CM MK Stalin who lauded her work and congratulated her for bagging an oscar. After landing back in Chennai following her win at the Oscars. She met with Tamil Nadu CM and received the Oscar trophy from his hand.

Chief Minister MK Stalin then facilitated the director with a cash prize of Rs 1 crore. He also honored the Elephant Whisperer’s director by gifting her with a shawl.

Tamil Nadu CM also congratulated and praised the Elephant Whisperer team for winning the Oscar on March 12. Chief Minister MK Stalin took to Twitter to praise the documentary makers and congratulated them on winning the Oscars.

He further wrote that there is no better news to wake up to than two women bringing the first-ever Oscar for an Indian Production. He also called the documentary film a moving story and said that the documentary deserves all the praises and accolades that it has been receiving.

The Elephant Whisperers

The documentary is a 40-minute-long documentary that one can stream on Netflix. The documentary revolves around the lives of elephant caretakers Bomman and Bellie and also was the directorial debut of Kartiki Gonsalves.

Traffic chaos as rain lashes Delhi NCR, more showers forecast tomorrow

Heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi and NCR on Monday evening. The captial along with on-and-off drizzles had pleasant weather throughout the day.

Due to heavy rain during the office dispersal hour, traffic chaos covered the captial. Social media is swamped with Delhiites sharing visuals of the rain and jam-packed roads.

Earlier today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert owing to rain, thunderstorm, and hailstorm in several parts of the city.

The bad weather conditions in Delhi also triggered the diversion of a total of 10 flights which were scheduled to land at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said.

Among the 10 flights, three were diverted to Lucknow and seven to Jaipur.

IMD had also said rain coupled with hail and gusty winds of up to 40 km per hour in Delhi will be witnessed on Monday. It also advised people to stay indoors and not seek shelter under trees, as maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 26 and 16 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, Delhi-NCR witnessed heavy rain with hailstorms taking the temperature to 25.3 degrees Celsius. As per the officials, the capital recorded the lowest temperature so far this month on Saturday.
