Kohli’s poor show didn’t stop him from cheering on his teammates during the IPL 2022 clash between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Dinesh Karthik provided the late fireworks to his team with his whirlwind knock of 30 not out off just eight balls to help RCB post a match-winning score of 192 for three in 20 overs.

On the very first ball of the match between RCB and SRH on Sunday, Virat Kohli had dismissed for a golden duck by SRH pacer Jagadeesha Suchith. This was his season’s third and overall sixth golden duck.

Apart from Karthik’s fiery knock of 30 runs, RCB skipper du Plessis remained unbeaten on 73 off 50 balls while Rajat Patidar was also impressed with a knock of 48 off 38 balls.

Chasing 192, the RCB has lost two wickets in the first over of the second inning of the match. Rahul Tripathi, who scored 58 runs off 37 balls, was keeping alive the SRH’s winning hopes. However, he has not received any support from his teammates as SRH was packed off for 125 in 19.2 overs.

This 67-run crucial win has not only given RCB two points but helped them to get better their net run rate which would help them to qualify for the playoffs.

With 14 points from 12 games, RCB is lying at fourth while SRH is at sixth with 10 points from 11 matches.
