Star Indian wrestlers, who are protesting at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar from the last 23 days, on Monday warned that they will make their agitation global by approaching Olympians and athletes from other nations for support if former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was not arrested by May 21.
The grapplers warned that they will be forced to make a “big call” if their demand is not met by the May 21 deadline.
Talking to reporters, 2018 Jakarta Asian Games gold medallist Vinesh Phogat warned that that they will make it a global protest by approaching Olympians and Olympic medallists in other countries asking for their support.
Vinesh claimed that some elements tried to disrupt their protest on Sunday night and also alleged that the wrestlers were being stalked at the protest site.
She said that the protesting wrestlers are being stalked as people click pictures and video despite being repeatedly asked not to.
The star wrestlers said that some unknown women also tried to sleep in the tent put up by the protesting athletes while some unidentified women are allegedly being sent inside the tent at night…”things are being done, which we do not want should happen at the protest site.”…
She claimed that all these things are being done in an attempt to bring a bad name to their protest and tarnish their fight for truth and justice.

What’s the case?
Indian wrestling stars, including household names such as Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and others are protesting at the Jantar Mantar in national capital New Delhi, demanding action against WFI president and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for alleged sexual abuse of female wrestlers.
The wrestlers, who have been protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar since April 23, have claimed that they had filed sexual harassment complaints against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at Connaught Place Police Station but Delhi Police did not register an FIR.
