The video has triggered a debate on social media, where some are supporting the act. While others call it pure stupidity. (He may die tomorrow with the use of drugs but this kind of punishment surely will kill him today).

The incident came in limelight at a time when there was a drug bust on large scale at a bar in Hyderabad. The state police on Sunday raided the place and detained more than 150 people including the actor Niharika Konidela and Telugu Bigg Boss season 3 winner Rahul Sipligunj among others.

Hindu leader Devkinandan Thakur noted that the right to clean air, drinking water, health and livelihood guaranteed under Articles 21 and 21A can’t be secured without effective population control.

The Supreme Court on Monday sought the central government’s reply on a petition for population control. The petition was filed by a Mathura-based Hindu leader Devkinandan Thakur Ji. He requested the apex court to direct the central government to ascertain the feasibility of enacting a stringent population control law.

Thakur Ji argued that a law like this would secure the fundamental rights of citizens as the population explosion has caused injuries to the women of the country.

He noted that the right to clean air, drinking water, health and livelihood guaranteed under Articles 21 and 21A can’t be secured without effective population control.

He stressed on the impact that repeated child-bearing has on women was seldom highlighted outside niche areas. The incidents of grand multiparty, which is defined as more than four viable births, in developing countries like India was 20% while it was only 2% in developed countries.

BJP leader and senior advocate Ashwini Upadhyaya also filled a similar petition in the Supreme Court in 2020. He argued that population explosion was more dangerous than bomb explosion and without implementing effective population control measures, Healthy India, Literate India, Prosperous India, Resourceful India, Strong India, Secured India, Sensitive India, Clean India and Corruption and Crime-Free India campaigns won’t succeed.

He challenged an High Court order of September 3, 2020, which said it was for Parliament and the State Legislature to enact laws and not the court. The government clarified that it was against coercing couples into having a certain number of children in a bid to curb the population explosion.

Former Chief Justice of India M.N. Venkatchaliah recommended on March 31, 2002, that Article 47A should be inserted into the constitution to control population explosion.

Upadhyaya said that the High Court did not take note of a comprehensive discussion of the National Commission to Review the Working of the Constitution which was led by Venkatchaliah.

Uttar Pradesh government officials today reached the Grand Omaxe Society of Noida Sector 93 with bulldozers and demolished the illegal structure of BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi. Tyagi’s supporters, who created a ruckus after the incident, were also detained by the Noida Police.

A spat broke out between Tyagi and a woman of that society over the property issue. The incident took place when the woman objected to the plantation of some trees by Shrikant Tyagi in her housing society. The police said that a Gangster Act had been invoked against Shrikant Tyagi.

A video went viral on social media showing Tyagi hurling abuses and assaulting the woman. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has sought an FIR and arrest of Tyagi. The search operation is on to catch the leader.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women Safety) Ankita Sharma Said that Shrikant Tyagi was booked under section 354 of the Indian Panel Code. The panel describes that whoever assaults or uses criminal force on any woman, intending to outrage or knowing it to be likely that he will thereby outrage her modesty shall be punished with imprisonment of two years, with a fine, or with both.

Shrikant Tyagi claims himself as a national executive member of BJP’s Kisan Morcha and national co-coordinator of the Yuva Kisan Samiti. However, the BJP denied the claim of Shrikant Tyagi.

BJP MP and Kisan Morcha chief Rajkumar Chahar said that Shrikant Tyagi was not an executive member of the BJP’s farmer unit. There was no Yuva Committee of Kisan Morcha too. Chahar also demanded his punishment as per the law of the land.
