The sacred month of Ramadan, also known as Ramzan has started and Muslims across the world are observing fast. Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is regarded as the holiest month of the year by Muslims. During this month, Muslims observe the Roza fast and exchange Ramadan Mubarak and Ramadan Kareem greetings. Before the sun rises, people who are fasting are not permitted to eat or drink anything.
Before sunrise, people have their first meal, known as sehri, and then break their fast in the evening. The meal eaten in the evening is known as Iftar. The sehri and iftar can only be consumed at specific times.
