Every year on March 22nd, the world commemorates World Water Day. The United Nations General Assembly Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 was the first to recognize the day.
According to the United Nations’ official website, World Water Day brings awareness about the 2.2 billion people who still do not have access to safe drinking water. As a result, it is critical to promote and raise public knowledge about the importance of freshwater resources.
