How to drink alcohol? Chhattisgarh Education Minister quotes lines from Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s book Madhushala at de-addiction program, tells benefits of drinking alcohol
Two viral videos of Chattigarh Education Minister have created discussions on social media on the credibility of Tekam as an education minister od Congress-ruled state.

Chhattisgarh Education Minister and Congress leader Premsai Singh Tekam advocated alcohol consumption at a de-addiction drive in the Wadrafnagar area of the Balrampur district, Uttar Pradesh.
The de addiction event, organized by the police under its Nasha Mukti Abhiyan, attended by school children in Wadrafnaga.
Quoting lines from Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s book Madhushala at a de-addiction drive event, Tekam said liquor should be diluted, consumed at specific time. There should be self-control, he also said.

The Minister also said that liquor unites everyone and he alongwith other leaders also use it during election campaign.
Talking about the ill-effects of alcohol, the minister advised that one must not get addicted. Daaru (liquor) meant D, which also stood for dilution with water as well as duration, as all of it must not be had at once, he said.
Two videos of Chhattisgarh minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam are doing rounds on social media.
In one of the videos, he can be heard talking about drinking alcohol. The road accidents don’t take place where the road is bad but happens where the road is good, another video of Congress leader shows.
Ever since the videos have gone viral on social media, it has created discussions on social media on the credibility of Tekam as an education minister od Congress-ruled state.
Hitting out, BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar said Bhupesh Baghel government and party are full of cartoons. None of them have understanding of subjects. This is not a functioning government but a puppet show being controlled by a family.
Tekam’s statements on liquor comes soon after state BJP MLA Krishnamurti Bandhi had recently suggested that bhang and cannabis’ be encouraged as alternatives to liquor, claiming persons hooked on these substances hardly commit offences like rape, murder and dacoity.

After Rahul Gandhi’s press conference, various leaders from the BJP’s top brass came forward to slam the Congress leader. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference and accused Gandhi of making false statements and dissuading from the subject.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday spoke to the media for the first time after his expulsion from the lower house. Gandhi in the press conference said that his job is to defend the democracy in the country and further added that he will continue to raise questions about the PM-Adani relationship.
The former Congress MP also added that he won’t be scared of PM Modi as he is fighting for democracy.
The press conference by Rahul Gandhi comes after his expulsion from the lower house. The Congress leader lost his Lok Sabha membership after a court in Gujarat convicted him for 2 years in a defamation case over his statement about Modi’s surname on March 22.
As per the reports, the Court granted the Congress leader bail with a bail bond of Rs 10,000 and suspended the 2-year jail term.

He also highlighted that the Congress leader was convicted for his speech delivered in 2019. Prasad further highlighted that the Congress leader himself said that he speaks thoughtfully and further implied whatever Gandhi said and was convicted of in 2019, it was spoken thoughtfully.
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal also chimed in and slammed Rahul Gandhi. The Union Minister spoke to the media and said that Rahul Gandhi is able to speak because there is democracy in this country.
He further said that Gandhi is the one speaking the most against PM Modi and countered his claims where Gandhi said that his voice is being strangled.
In the backdrop of the showdown between BJP and Rahul Gandhi, Congress party workers took to the streets in West Bengal to demonstrate against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the lower house.

Priyanka Gandhi lashes out at Centre over Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification, accuses BJP of targeting Rahul Gandhi for raising Adani issue
Priyanka Gandhi, in her statement to the media, said that her brother raised the issue about Adani and questioned the BJP about it which led to Rahul Gandhi being targeted. She further said in the case which led to the former Congress chief conviction, the complainant themselves had asked for a stay and highlighted that there was a stay for over a year.
