Don’t have enough candidates in West Bengal who can win polls: Dilip Ghosh

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh on Friday (March 15) said that saffron party doesn’t have enough candidates who can win elections in the TMC-ruling state.
“We have party leaders and workers who are working very hard. We had given them tickets in Panchayat and Assembly polls. But in case of fighting Lok Sabha polls we don’t have enough candidates who can put up a fight and win the elections,” Ghosh said.
When asked whether resentment was brewing in the party ranks over leaders from other parties defecting and getting prominence in the BJP, Ghosh stated, “There is no such thing in our party. If someone wants to come and join our party to be a part of our development process, how can we stop it?”
His statement came a day after ruling Trinamool Congress legislature from Bhatpara Arjun Singh joined the BJP on Thursday (March 14).
Recently, a number of political representatives from the TMC, the Congress and the CPI (M) have shifted to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress party is the first party in the state to release its fist candidate list. The grand old party is anticipated to be the frontrunner in the Karnataka assembly elections as many suggest anti-incumbency sentiments in the state. However, BJP is also expected to come out swinging after being boxed into the corner.
The incumbent BJP has been accused of corruption by the contractors union numerous times whereas Congress has picked up the baton to promise a corruption-free Karnataka. Karnataka assembly elections are anticipated to be a showdown between Congress and the BJP.
As per the schedule for the assembly elections in Karnataka, the Election commission is yet to announce the schedule, however, it is predicted that the elections will be scheduled before May.
